I honestly donāt even know where to begin with my experience at this apartment. When I initially applied, I worked with someone named Hope. After I completed all my required payments - insurance fees and other upfront costs - she completely ghosted me. I later found out she had left the company without transferring my account to anyone else. I spent two weeks calling and leaving voicemails just to confirm that my move-in date was still valid. I never received a response. Out of pure frustration, I left a negative Google review - and surprise, I received a call from the office within 10 minutes. Itās sad that only a bad review can get someoneās attention. After finally speaking with an agent, I was told everything was good to go. However, the evening before my move-in, around 6ā7 PM, I got a call informing me that my apartment wasnāt ready. This last-minute notice forced me to pay for two U-Hauls, two storage units, and spend two weeks moving my belongings around. To make matters worse, I also had to scramble to find temporary housing for a week after moving out of my previous place. Due to this massive inconvenience, I was offered a $150 gift card, which I declined - it didnāt come close to covering my losses. I asked for a more appropriate compensation and spoke with Stephanie, who then connected me to the manager, Dee. Dee agreed to escalate it and later confirmed that Iād receive a $250 rent credit, which I could apply to any month of my choice. I chose August, since I knew Iād be traveling that month and wanted to lower my rent. This agreement took place before I even moved in. After moving in, I was also supposed to receive two months of half-off rent as part of a sign-up deal. I chose March and May. But when March rolled around, the discount wasnāt applied. I had to physically go into the office to have it corrected because no one returned my calls. While I was there, I confirmed both the May discount and the $250 credit with Brista, who told me she saw the notes about the credit and would follow up with Dee - who, by the way, was sitting in the office right across from her at the time. Fast forward to July. I called on 7/14 and left a voicemail - no response. Due to personal matters, I had to step away for a bit, but I resumed calls on 7/29, leaving more voicemails and being transferred to a managerās line - again, no callback. On 7/30, I called multiple times and was told the manager was busy due to the end-of-month rent cycle. I called again later and spoke with Julia, who promised Iād get a call the morning of 7/31. As expected - no call. Finally, on 7/31, I spoke with someone named America, who was the first truly helpful person I've encountered at this company. She went out of her way to help, even though the issue was technically out of her hands. She informed me that there is no record of the $250 credit agreement, as it was made by Dee on her personal cell phone - a call the company now has no way to verify. So here I am - looking like Iām making this up when Iām not. I upheld every expectation placed on me as a tenant, but the company continues to drop the ball. Any time Iām promised something, it gets lost, forgotten, or ignored - and I'm left dealing with the fallout. I'm extremely disappointed in the lack of professionalism and accountability Iāve experienced here. I donāt typically leave negative reviews, but based on how things are handled at this company, it seems to be the only way to get actual service. The high turnover rate now makes complete sense. Iāve worked in customer service for over a decade, and I can confidently say this has been the worst experience Iāve ever had with any company - let alone an apartment. I still have several months left here, but Iām counting down the days until I can leave. This review only touches on the credit issues - I plan to post another review to address the many other problems Iāve faced during my time here. Given the way Iāve been treated, I will be filing a formal complaint with the Better...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've been living here since March 30th... I do agree that the office staff is not very helpful or likable, but that's based on the few interactions that I've had with them. The apartments are under new management so I can't speak on the prior. But, each time I've had to deal with anyone, but the actual manager I've felt uneasy... I went in on the Monday following the first of May which fell on a Sunday, Bc I couldn't figure out where the drop box was and when I walked in it was only one girl there helping someone, she never acknowledged me, didn't even look up and I know she knew that I was there Bc the person that she was helping actually looked away from his paperwork and acknowledged me, but she did NOt... So, I ended up walking out upset and having to come back... That was strike one! The next strike was today. I arrived home from work with a note on my door saying I owe them money and that it was the second request, but I do not owe them anything and I never received a first request to warrant a second threatening request. furthermore, I do not owe them anything! When I called the office the person that answered said it was for prorated rent for March, but I paid that 15days prior to my move-in on their website(which is now down). So I search my email for a confirmation receipt, as well as my bank statement showing the charge, I actually found both And offered to email them. They didn't even apologize for THEIR mistake. If I have to deal with this type of treatment for the duration of the lease, this is going to be a longggg lease agreement! I wouldn't refer anyone here, you could move some place nicer for cheaper than what I pay here for this two bedroom, with better parking and recent looking buildings and cleaner complex. I'm really disappointed that I didn't listen to the reviews!šš¾šš¾šš¾--- Update, I still hate these apartments! I've had nothing but a bad experience with them. I paid my rent on time but I guess my check was misplaced or something Bc I got a late rent notice and a notice saying that I hadn't paid utilities BUT, I've NEVER received a bill for the water, the website is down so I can't check to see when it's due AND I paid my rent on time! I had to take the copy of my check that I had the girl make a copy of to the office, then had to ask for it to be copied and given back Bc I now do NOT trust them. I hate that I pay so much to be harassed for the things that have already been paid and their U organization, harassment and Unprofessionalism ! Woosah, I hate this place! If you do move here keep track of everything you pay, all correspondence that you have including dates and times Bc you cannot trust hoe the run business, and the worst part is after you prove them wrong they do not apologize! Worst mistake in life was moving to this ran down overpriced place & I hope that they fix their website soon so that I do not have to continue dealing with their incompetent staff! š”š”š”*
Update to today:::: I received a notice last week that my $37.00 water bill was due (no due date just saying it's due. The website is down so I guess they have to put letters on the door) so over the weekend I forgot to go out of my way to get a money order. Yesterday 6/21/2016 I had another letter on my door stating that I'd be locked out if I don't pay those charges, but the letter was falsified saying that I owed that amount towards rent not the light bill... š¤ Odd my $1300 rent check cleared a few weeks ago, so NO this is for the water bill...
*Update I spoke with the manager Tajmah and she apologized for the treatment that I've received prior to today and any misunderstanding or miscommunication that has occurred since April 1st. I appreciate her taking the time out to actually address my concerns and assure me that the service should be better going...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSince the new owners have taken over, it has become a nightmare. I put in a service request 12 days ago to have the light in my kitchen replaced. How long does it take to pop in a new bulb? Same with the faucet in the 2nd bathroom shower. If I did not have pliers to turn it off myself, the water would still be running.
Courtney is awesome. She is very friendly and tries her best to be helpful. The rest of the staff in the office is unfriendly and it's like pulling teeth to have them come out of their office.
Also they do not enforce the parking rules in place. I have only one car for a 2 bedroom apartment but it's ok with other people having 3 or 4 cars. I understand times are tough and some of us need to double up on families in our apartments (i'm fortunate and don't need to do that) but that shouldn't mean I am not entitled to a parking spot for my ONE van. Another problem with parking is that they don't tow cars that don't belong here. There are old broken down vehicles taking parking spots. And you can forget taking care of your car here. This is kind of no-brainer because I know it happens in apartment complexes, but you can forget anybody being respectful towards your property. Expect dings and scratches without notifications if you live here. One other problem is the pest problem. Pest Control is included when we pay our rent. However the guy that works for their pest control company will walk into the apartment dab some here and dab some there and he's gone. Problem is not solved. In defense of the new management, they do still have the same pest control people as the previous owners so that's not really on them.
Most of the people living in the apartments are friendly and respectful but you also have a lot of people that will speed in the parking area, let their dogs out with leashes, not pick up their dogs pooh and fill up the dumpsters with boxes that haven't been broken down. So no, until management gets off their butts and start enforcing some of the rules around here, I would not recommend it. I feel as though right now all they care about is making the place look pretty with new paint so that they can justify charging an ungodly amount for rent instead of taking care of their current tenants.
Oh! One more thing, amenities are included such as pool and fitness center but since they are trying to make this place look "pretty" the fitness room has been closed for a while. The pool was closed for a weekend due to upgrading the 911 phone. That's fine except they closed the pool during school being out. Why wasn't it done when they took over before it turned hot and kids were out of school.
I'm all for improvements, I guess I'm just unhappy because I feel as though they should take care of their current tenants before worrying about "pretty". But come to think about it, that's probably what they want. For us to move out so that they can charge the next batch a higher rent.
One last thing and it's not on the management's shoulders but something I would like to point out, theft is horrible here. I know three people that had cars broken into. I also had my mountain bike stolen from upstairs patio. Ok in their defense, I am the dumbass that didn't chain it up but it had been sitting there for four months with no problems.
It's pretty sad that I turned in my 60 day notice 180 days early. I have a countdown timer on my phone showing how much time I have left to endure this place. I apologize for the language I have used but please understand I get a little hot around the collar when I get to thinking about these things. Yea,...
