Brought in a 18k gold Rolex osterquartz day date for a battery replacement…yes, they made a Rolex that uses a battery. Explained I needed a battery replacement for this particular watch. They took the watch and proceeded with the replacement. 10 minutes later I was told they are having trouble removing the cover”it’s really tight, can you leave it with us, give us a day or two. Two days later I returned and was informed they couldn’t get the cover off. I looked the watch over and there were scratches on the cover. Terrible experience. If you can’t do the work and don’t have the right tools just refuse the work. Stay away from this business. I took the watch to another business and they did the work in front of me and had the cover off in under 60 seconds. Battery replaced and half the price. I asked the tech why the other jeweler couldn’t get the cover off they said “didn’t have the right tools”. Again, avoid this business.

Personalized service and I felt very secure with my selection and purchase! They are my go to now for all things that sparkle! We picked out a beautiful wedding set!

If it were possible to give 10 stars Barba Fine Jewlers would be worth them all. Came in with a jade necklace that needed restrung, wasn't sure if they would do it since it's not a fancy piece of jewelry but the staff were friendly and welcoming, set my mind at ease and had my necklace fixed in a jiffy. Absolutely will return to Barba for any jewelry purchases or issues, as far as I'm concerned they are THE jewelry store of Howland. Simply the best, better than...

This place is fantastic they are so courteous to you no matter how inexpensive or expensive your jewelry is you can be sure it's going to be fixed properly... Prices on repairs is very reasonable at least in my pocketbook which is not very full.... I enjoy the customer service they are always so pleasant...
