PMG CHOCOLATIER — Local services in Howland Township

Just left there. 6/20/24 @1pm. When I walked in a cashier was ringing out a customer. I was not greeted. I found a couple things and walked to the register and set my things down & got my card out. I stood there for a while, looking around and didn't see anyone. Finally a man in an obnoxiously pink untucked polo comes out talking on a cell phone, who I assume is some kind of manager or owner, sees me standing there and walks past me and walks outside and continues to talk on the phone. I stand there for another minute and see the cashier standing behind the chocolate counter doing busy work and she does not acknowledge me. At this point I'm fed up and tell her, "I guess you guys don't want a sale, I see why it's dead in here". I leave my things on the counter & walk out. Pink polo is on the sidewalk outside and sees me leave. I feel like they don't care to give customer service to younger customers & that will come back to you when you go out of business. I will no longer go there & will pass my experience onto family & friends. I hope your phone call & boxing more chocolate was worth you not stopping what you were doing for one minute to take my money!

Oh and pink polo don't blame this review on just your staff bc you could have very easily let her know there was a customer waiting to be checked out before you walked...

My daughter was in the hospital and I wasn’t able to see her because I live in TN. We are Ohio natives and have always LOVED Gorant chocolate. I wasn’t exactly sure how I was going to get the order to her but I called and Linda answered the phone. She was extremely friendly and answered so many questions without any frustration. My daughter absolutely loves Warmies, so she helped me pick one out by describing them over the phone. She also helped me pick out the perfect chocolate assortment and wrapped 3 chocolate covered Oreos so beautiful. She didn’t know this but I received 3 chocolate covered oreos from Gorant after giving birth to my daughter 18 years ago. I don’t know if it was all the pregnancy hormones or what but I still remember those being the best chocolate covered oreos I’ve ever eaten. The new location is nice and clean, good location. The sales lady was very helpful and friendly. I bought a huge and costly assortment of chocolates from behind the counter. My only complaint would be that nothing tastes the same as it did. I was highly disappointed. It all tasted too sugary, and the individual flavors did not come through. The tiramisu is just sugar. No coffee flavor at all. Even the meltaways are not as before. My family and I have been eating Gorant Yum-yum chocolate since the 70's, when they were in every fancy gift shop.
