Clothes Mentor Howland, OH — Local services in Howland Township

I will never go into this store again. I took a large tote of clothing in for them to review and it was an extremely unpleasant experience. They acted like I was a huge inconvenience. I made sure to go in 2 hours before closing and even told them I could pick it up the next day if they needed extra time (they informed me they wouldn’t hold things overnight). There was only 1 other customer in the store when I left and 2 employees working, so they weren’t busy. When I went back to review and pick up everything thing they had only taken a couple items out of a huge tote (there were multiple items new with tags from Old Navy and H&M that they didn’t make an offer on) and more frustrating, the tote was destroyed. The side exploded like they had dropped it off a counter. They didn’t say anything about it and I was completely flabbergasted so I just took it and left. The tote still had the $12.50 sticker on the side and was brand new. When I got home I pulled the stuff back out of the tote and most of it hadn’t even been unfolded to be looked at. I called the next morning to talk to a manager hoping it was just an inexperienced person who was having a bad day that help me. The women on the phone informed me it was her (the manager) and the owner of the store that reviewed my stuff. She offered no apology, no explanation of why they didn’t actually look at the clothes and was extremely rude. She said the tote was cracked when I brought it in (I’m 100% positive it wasn’t) and implied it was my fault. Again, never even an apology. I won’t be going back and I hope no one else wastes...

Dropped off clothes on a Saturday around 1:30. The lady was very kind and said that it would be a couple hours. I came back just before 5pm and no one has looked at my basket yet. I'm sure they were very busy but i had to leave, so i asked for my items and basket back. When my basket was returned, there were 3 pairs of men's medium size underwear sitting on top that were definitely not mine 🤢🤮 The girl working said they were already in my basket when i dropped it off, but they were most definitely not... Feels icky that they wouldn't even take responsibility for the mix up, I would have maybe understood if they'd just taken accountability but to try and lie about it definitely...

Drove a significant distance to store with a ton of clothes to sell. All were medium to higher end name brand items, some even brand new and/or never worn. There was probably at least 100 items. They chose 3 to keep and pay for. Definitely not worth the gas and my time. While waiting for the clothes to be assessed, I shopped their store. There was some nice items but most of what I saw was down right ugly. Things I wouldn't pay $1 for were priced $10-$18. Definitely no one in there shopping. Maybe they should change up who assesses the clothes. This was my first time selling my clothes. Not a good experience and I will...
