A couple months ago Brooke was running a deal for 50% off of a spot removal treatment and in her post she had posted the names of who you could contact to get a quote. I sent photos of the spot I wanted removed to one of her employees. Her employee came back with the response of âwith the 50% off itâd be $75 and can totally go away.â GREAT. So basically I thought that means, I pay $75 and the spot I want removed goes away, so I happily booked an appointment. Once she was almost done with my session this employee told me âThis is deeper than I thought it was, you might need more than one session.â Iâm angry at this point because the employee had been extremely fake and was awkward, making the whole session uncomfortable and completely went back on what she had said. Not only that, the session only took her maybe 10-15 minutes when she claimed that she couldnât go any deeper because it would lead to scarring and take away too much skin. When she was done, she had said for the second time that I will âpossiblyâ need another session and to let her know what it looks like when itâs healed which could take 2-4 weeks. Well, obviously it never healed or I wouldnât be posting this. I chose to get in touch with Brooke because I didnât feel it was right for me to pay for a second session after being told it can totally go away in one. That lead to an argument. Her employee constantly told lies and claimed that she never once made a statement like that (I have the message) and only told me that I would need multiple sessions. Um, you telling me that does not count once youâve already put the tool to my skin and started removing it! Not if you told me something else first. She also told Brooke that I claimed âit hurt too badly to keep going,â even though the employee was describing to her what it looked like when she was done and what she had told me after she was done, so that is contradicting. Brooke talked to me in an extremely condescending way during our whole entire conversation and basically told me there was nothing she could do about it by saying âSorry, I wasnât the one who sold it to you.â But then said I could pay to come in again. Brooke said that she could tell JUST by looking at my photos that I would need more than one session. So, why is she allowing employees who clearly donât have the proper judgement give out prices and sessions? She claimed her employee is properly trained and did nothing wrong, but that is false. If you DONâT KNOW, you do not give out false statements. You say, you donât know. I also never even asked if it would go away in one session, or how many sessions she thought I would need. She followed up to my photos, going out of her way to make it sound like it would go away in one session. Brooke is jumping down my throat about why I didnât say something within a few days if I was unhappy, well... when someone tells you it can take 2-4 weeks to heal properly, youâre not going to create a problem until there needs to be. Also sheâs made statements like âyouâre mad about it months later.â Nope, I was pissed the day of. Also, itâs been two months, a little over a month since it fully healed. I was in on August 11th. I work among many other things and had the intention of going into the store, but hadnât gotten around to it. I kept forgetting about it, itâs not in an area that I see every day and to be honest, didnât really want to message Brooke until I had gotten advice from other people because this is how Brooke handles all complaints. I understand that it may be difficult to fully know until you actually see the spot in person or maybe even get started. But THAT is what I should have been told. Not that it can totally go away! Also, this employee claims she never even made that statement and has thrown other wild lies out in the air. I finally found the conversation and sent Brooke the screenshot that shows her employee, did in fact make that statement and she blocked me and...
Read moreZero stars if possible. My review pertains to microblading services I got a couple of years ago, but since I'd love to get my brows redone somewhere else, I felt compelled to write a review--even though a lot of time has passed. Because I'm still livid about the terrible service and worthless outcome.
I'm more or less in a position where I can't afford to do it again because of what I spent here the first time around, but my brows faded COMPLETELY after TWO MONTHS. And no, it was not my fault for not following aftercare, etc...I spent way too much money on them to do anything other than exactly what I was told to do. NO, I don't have health conditions or take medications that would interfere with the end result. It is not my first rodeo when it comes to tattooing or permanent/semi-permanent makeup. I've spent a lot of time reading about why microblading can fail since then, and know that I may not have even been the best candidate for this service, but there was NO mention of this when I booked my appointment. NONE. I have oily skin (which apparently can cause the pigment to blur/fade) and I had previously gotten my eyebrows tattooed, and most places minimally recommend that the tattoo be removed prior to microblading. They healed and looked so-so; I went in for my touch-up as scheduled and they just disappeared off of my face within weeks. I don't know what irritates me more, the fact that I wasted my money or the fact that it took her about 20 minutes to draw them on and etch them into my face. I felt like I was in a McDonald's drive-through. I have been reading other establishments' approaches to making sure their clients are happy with what they are getting, and I am freaking FLOORED by the poor quality of the service I got. A couple of hours for a consultation is STANDARD elsewhere.
As far as I'm concerned, this place robbed me blind. If I wasn't a good candidate for microblading then I should have been informed of that. She said no problem, we can cover up the tattoos. Yeah, right. Be careful when considering microblading and make sure your skin is suited for the service. Because apparently some of the idiots who do it aren't going to tell you themselves. They want your money...satisfaction, not so much.
Addition: Unfortunately, it doesn't look like it's possible to add a response to a business's reply on the original comment. Anyway, yes, I was a customer at the Hudson BB. I used to live in Hudson myself, so I'm not sure why you don't have a record of my being there. Whatever the case, I wanted to add that I do appreciate the response. I did not add the review simply to be inflammatory. My main issue is that absolutely nothing was said about touch-ups of that frequency. I was told that the previous tattoo would cause microblading to fade sooner, but was told that I could expect to need them redone around a year. I could have managed that, but if anyone had told me I'd need to do it every three months, I wouldn't have decided to go forward with the service in the first place. I couldn't afford it. I will say that while they were visible, I was relatively pleased with the results; my eyebrows are naturally a bit uneven and are very difficult to "straighten out." The microblading did solve that. But absolutely nothing was said about coming back every three months. I posted the review now out of frustration that this was never discussed with me, nor was the idea of having the tattoo removed first, which another establishment told me was a MUST if I wanted decent results. At this stage I don't have the money to go forward with removal and having them redone, and am simply frustrated that I wasn't advised to go that route first. It might have been possible before I spent hundreds on them the first...
Read moreI was in town for a wedding over Memorial Day Weekend and booked an appointment for makeup and hair at BB. Please note, I did call and speak with someone at BB who said they would pass my feedback along to Brooke and then get back to me. I haven't heard a word since.
While I did like my makeup, the woman doing it never asked for what my preference was or any sort of style I preferred. I sat down and she immediately started doing my makeup saying she was a bit rushed for time. I had showered that morning and my hair in the back of my head was still a bit damp, particularly around my neck. She proceeded to tell me that BB doesn't have a single blowdryer in the entire building because they only do dry styles. I thought that seemed odd since that's one of the most basic tools to have on hand to do hair. Also, when I had initially called, Brooke had asked what style I wanted my hair done in and I said a low pony or bun and she didn't mention anything about my hair being completely dry OR I would've absolutely shown up to my appointment like that. Anyways, the stylist acted totally irritated that she then had to call and ask specific permission to use the one blowdryer they had on hand in the entire building, BUT the kicker was she would need to charge me an extra $50 for a blowout on top of the charge to style my hair. She didn't give me a blowout, she used the blowdryer for maybe 4-5 min but she knew she could get away with charging me an EXTRA $50!!! because I was on my way to a wedding. Mind you, I live in Scottsdale and have gotten blowouts from the top salons here and her running her fingers through my hair for 4 minutes and charging $50 doesn't qualify as anything remotely close to a "blowout." Then she started putting ringlet curls in my hair. I asked twice if her plan was to then pull it back into a low pony or bun since that was the style I was looking for with my dress and she told me "no" and that she wanted to highlight my curls.
I'm disappointed that I was charged an extra $50 and that I did the right thing and tried to call the salon before leaving a review but never heard...
