My grandpa is David Hohler, former delivery driver, and his celebration of life was on Monday May 5th. Thursday the 1st, I went to the shop to order an arrangement to be delivered to his celebration from all of his grandkids and great grandkids. The gal that helped me told me so many stories of my grandpa and his time working at the shop. It was nice to hear how he worked somewhere where he was as appreciated and as loved by his coworkers as he was by his family. I got to choose the flowers that went into his arrangement as well as their colors (I chose white lilies and white roses because those two flowers were always gifted to us grandchildren in every color possible, and white geraniums, his favorite flower.) She told me there were so many colors being sent to his service, so I chose white. She let me call back with the message to write on the card. When I arrived on Monday to the visitation, it was the first thing I saw. In a field of color, there was white. It was stunning. Even the cross that was picked out by the florists was white, as was his ribbon. So many people loved it, and so many people mentioned to me how beautiful it was. The lady who helped me with my order, found me during his visitation to speak with me again, which spoke great volumes to me. My grandma let me have the arrangement. Today, was the day I said goodbye to the piece, as many of the flowers were starting to weep. As I was taking it apart I found, much to my surprise, a plastic pot filled with soil and some of the white geraniums (my grandpa's favorite) tucked in the back within all of the floral foam. I'm not quite sure how big arrangements such as this are made, and if that is a normal thing. Normal or not, it made my entire day. The little white flowers, that have 8 more buds, are now repotted in a pot I found at home, awaiting a new pot that is a bit bigger due to their massive root system. I am overjoyed to have another little piece of him, even if its just one of his favorites, in my home.
Thank you so very much, Hudson Flower Shop. All of the pieces that were at his celebration of life were absolutely stunning. I can't thank you enough for all of the care and thought that...
Read moreUPDATE Sherri gave me a call and was very apologetic and sincere. She explained she did hire some new help for the busy times like prom. She realizes that she needs to train her new staff better and agrees there is damage to the flower petals. She promises to take care of that on her end. Sherri asked if I would accept a certificate to try them out again in the future and I gladly accepted. The certificate came today and it’s for the entire amount I spent on the corsage! Thank you Sherri for your promptness to make things right for me. —————————————————————
Super disappointing prom wrist corsage! The flowers were partially wilted and dead looking. When I asked a worker about it, she told me they spray the flowers so they are not so white. I get that, but these have dead wilted spots. I also asked how to store the corsage as I wouldn’t be home for at least an hour and they couldn’t even tell me if I should put it into a cooler, with or without ice. How embarrassing to give this corsage to my son’s...
Read moreAdding stars and a photo of the replacement flowers sent today. I live in Colorado and haven’t been able to follow up with them the past day, but they went ahead and sent new flowers to my mom. They are able to make beautiful arrangements and my mom is over the moon about the new flowers! Still wish the original mistake didn’t happen on Mother’s Day, but appreciate an honest company that owns up to their mistakes and quickly resolves issues.
Original review:
I’m sorry, but these aren’t even close to the quality of the floral arrangement that was posted on your website. I ordered the deluxe version and payed $128 for these to be delivered for Mother’s Day. SO disappointed with these drab flowers and expected much higher quality from a local business. I’d recommend going elsewhere.
I noticed this arrangement is no longer on your website... assuming you ran out of the items for it. I understand things happen, but just call me and work things out. Don’t deliver these...
