Really bummed about this place. I can get over poor service if the food is quality but wasn’t impressed on either front tonight unfortunately! The good: the faux cucumber basil mojito was fresh and a solid summer mocktail, but didn’t enjoy the little chunks of basil that made it through the straw. Would recommend making a basil simple syrup and garnishing with a basil leaf. The focaccia bruschetta was also a good summer appetizer and read like pizza but fresher. The could be improved: fettuccini Alfredo was extremely thin and bland. Not sure there was adequate cheese or salt. Would like it if they spruced up the sauce and sprung for fresh pasta. You can get the exact same dish at Red Rabbit in St. Paul for the same price and they make it with fresh pasta. The Parmesan crusted chicken with lemon sauce was unremarkable and matched the flavor of Noodles and Company. Unfortunately the pesto risotto was seemingly prepared without wine, so it was just cheesy rice with basil. Meh! Finally, it took 30 minutes to get our drinks, another 30 for our meal, another 15 for the check, and all of it on a very slow Monday. Really disappointed!

Interesting location but nothing too exciting. My wife and I stopped in for dinner on a Friday night after boating up the St. Croix River. It’s a popular place with almost every table filled. That also makes it a loud place on a Friday night. The menu is just too big. I counted 5 pages with everything from pizza and pasta to sandwich’s and fish. With that many options, it’s hard say what their specialty is. We tried their Italian nachos as an appetizer. It was an item looking for an identity. The fresh bruschetta was great but was on top of hot Mozzarella and sausage. They just didn’t go together. The sauce was also too heavy for something paired with fresh bruschetta. We both did enjoy our sandwiches. My French dip had flavorful prime rib and my wife liked her turkey sandwich. I would give it another try someday but I wish they would focus their menu on a few items that they do really well opposed to what they have today.

We've been there many times and have had good and not so good. Gave it a try wednesday, 12/15/21. Ordered a dish called something like Penne Red Pepper Sausage. I added shrimp. the description made it sound heavenly. Unfortunately, it was less than average. I could have made it myself with canned sauce, and it would have been far superior. The menu states "unlimited soup or salad" with dinner. The soup comes in a tablespoon sized cup, and good luck getting a "refill". Had to ask for breadsticks. I feel like they've slipped lately. There were plenty of employees, so can't blame employment crises. I guess if we ever come back we will stick with what we love, their hands breaded chicken tenders. Those are wonderful. Thing is, it was over $50. That opens a lot of opportunities. You can do a steakhouse for that, or a genuine Italian Restaurant. Disappointed.

It is with sadness but also anger that I write this review. This restaurant has been one my family’s go to places since they opened. We were loyal patrons. We went there last Thursday to celebrate our 30th anniversary. We asked for the back room. This is the second time in a row that we have had bad service with a group of 7+. The food was poor and the service even worse. The waitress (Brooke) didn’t acknowledge our anniversary. My mom asked for the special without capers. The good came covered in capers. When we pointed this out the waitress said “there are no capers on that special, I mistakenly said there was”. The capers were evident. I again pointed out there were capers as my mom was picking them out. She didn’t say anything. Next came my food. The baked chicken was covered in Italian seasoning which was pure Salt and impossible to eat. I took one bite and said I couldn’t eat it. I never send food back. This isn’t my habit. She never asked if I wanted something different and had no intention to take it off the bill until I requested it. She said “I’ll have to ask my manager”. When we got the bill I saw they still charged for my dinner salad. My dad asked for ranch with his baked potato. She did bring AND charged for the ranch. When my dad asked about his baked potato he was told no potato came with his meal. My husband’s pork chops were dry. The steaks were tough. The kids did like their dishes. I was so upset with how the whole dinner was handled that I called the manager instead of writing a negative review. When I told him I was upset they charged me for a salad when I couldn’t even eat my meal he said it was his call after the waitress told him I didn’t complain until the meal was over. Which was a bold face lie. I don’t know if I was more upset with the lie or the fact the manager, on a dead night, didn’t even check in on us knowing there were issues with the food. He said he would send a gift card which I accepted. I was looking for ANY reason NOT to write this off of our list. Well that backfired when I received a $10 gift card with no note. The gift card was less than 5% of our bill. I hand delivered it back to him and told him that the gesture was an insult and we would NOT be back. He told me he had already discounted my meal which I pointed out I COULDN’T eat. He handled everything so poorly. I felt so devalued as a customer, a long term customer at that. I’ve forgiven other issues with this establishment but I cannot forgive this time, especially as it was made very clear they were not apologetic!!!! We will...

Unbelieveable! Cute place, nice hostesses, but managed POORLY! We actually walked out today because we couldn't get served! Our party of 5 were seated immediately by a friendly hostess and given menus. We sat and looked over the menu for a good 10 minutes deciding what we wanted, all the time waiting for waitstaff to greet us and take drink orders. No one ever came. This place was not that busy. We watched the table next to us get cleared of apps and served again. More people were seated on the other side of us. Wait staff milled around, hostesses walked by 3 to 4 times, still no one had ever come to our table. 20 minutes in we tried to flag someone down and were ignored. The final straw was when the people that were seated right next to us 15 minutes AFTER we were seated, were waited on. At that point my mother-in-law leaned over and said to the waiter "Excuse me, we've been sitting here for 20 minutes and no waiter has even come to our table! What's going on?" The waiter said "Uhhhhh, I don't know, but I can go check." Then he turned his back to us and continued with the other table. Unreal...it's like we didn't exist!! Never been ignored like this. We got up and left after 25 minutes and having never even been able to put in a beverage order!!! PS...this was the SECOND time we had this happen here. The last time was 6 months ago. We decided to give it a second chance figuring one slow service night was a fluke. NOPE. Definite habit with them. But when we did manage to get food there it was decent,. I guess take your chances if you're...

My husband and I really liked coming here. this was the first time that the service was very off, we got there and their was a large group in the center and half the tables was open, but yet we had to wait for a table. then was told we had to leave by a time cause there was another group was coming and we had to be out by a certain time, then we had to wait 10 minutes for the waitress to show up and gave us our water. the waitress was very friendly and did her best to be attentive to us, but we got place where she was the waitress waiting on the large group, that she just started to take their order when they sat us down. But, when we got ready to leave, husband had the fish fry, he was done, we are waiting for the check, plates are no longer on the table, a different waitress came to the table bringing him more fish and argued with him about it when he did not order them, we are waiting on the check, the waitress finally brought us the check and again had to wait for her to come again waiting 10 minutes for her to come back, we had to have the manager(?) who was walking by to take care of the check so we can leave. that was a disappointing night. The Hostess should pay more attention to the waitress and where they are at at a table, being sat a table where they are already really busy with the large group, she can't be as attentive to the other tables, which in turn they can not give not as good as service to the others, which the customers may...
