This is one of my all time favorite spots in Hudson. It's close to everything downtown. There's plenty of different types of cuisine. Mallory's, San Pedros, Pier 500, Winzer Stube, Carbone's Pizza, and that's just a few of the many. There's entertainment for all ages. From the beach for the youngsters near the parking lot, to the beach at the end of the pier for a more mature crowd, you can get your swim on. The Phipps theater is there and they always have something happening. I can't grasp how many fish I have caught along the pier over the years...but if you are fishing to feed yourself, you should probably fish elsewhere. A caught fish there worth eating are less then what I can count on one hand out of each hundred. That being said, there are a ton of fish and quite the variety. I bring my son there all the time to catch and release sheepshead. If that's the type of fishing you like then go around the middle of Fall and by then they are huge. If you can't seem to find something that floats your boat, try finding a park bench and just do some people watching. If anything you may leave with a...

Lakefront is a really nice senic park. It has a lot of offer including a swimming beach, band shell, a dike for walking, fishing, outdoor excersise equipment, playground, grill and picnic areas, open green space, and boat launch. During the summer they host concerts with concession for sale. Great for walking and playing AR games like Pokemon Go or Ingress. Beyond the activities there is also the historic significance of the park. The Hudson arch and dike mark the old toll bridge that linked Hudson to Minnesota prior to the 94 bridge. While it is a very lovely and lively park sometimes it is not the cleanest. This is often due to the flooding that occurs along the river and the popularity of the park. Despite that, the cleanliness does little to detract from how much I enjoy this park. A great place for a number of outdoor activities in...

Lakefront Park is a true hidden gem in Hudson! It’s peaceful, quiet, and beautifully maintained, making it the perfect spot to escape and relax. You get the best of everything here — stunning river views, wide open fields where you can stretch out, and trails that wind through the park for a refreshing walk.

It feels tucked away enough to be calm and relaxing, but it’s still close to downtown. Whether you want to go for a stroll, bring a picnic, enjoy the open space, or just sit by the water, this park has it all. The trails are easy to follow, the big fields are great for families or just laying out, and the riverfront views never disappoint.

One of Hudson’s best-kept secrets — definitely a...

In the summer we usually make it down to Hudson at least twice a week to go out on our boat. We hang out in the bay. We love to hit all the islands in front of lakefront Park. We also take a walk on the pier a lot in the winter in the fall. Parking is a little bit of an issue, but if you don't go on a Saturday usually you can find parking okay. I also really like the parking app and makes it quick and easy to pay for the parking. 2024 Edit: The new 650 foot long City dock is a great place to hand in a Summer day. There is a lot of food options within walking distance and 3 places with ice cream. No parking overnight at this dock. Other than that it's great.

Lakefront Park is a wonderful large city park with a plethora of amenities and things to do. The bandshell during the summer is a great place to go to see some free live music performances of many different genres of music. The park is right on the St. Croix River, so there is a nice sand beach to relax on and go swimming in the river. There are also plenty of walking trials up and down the river, even extending out to the pier. The only complaint is that during busy times the parking lot fills up quick and you may have to drive around a bit to park.

This park is the public gathering place for people in the area. It is a lovely waterfront park that hosts fairs, concerts, art festivals, and more. It's just west of downtown Hudson. It's usually calm and quiet during the day with a few people walking on the grounds or sitting on the many benches overlooking the St Croix River with views of Minnesota just on the other side of the river.
