This is one of my all time favorite spots in Hudson. It's close to everything downtown. There's plenty of different types of cuisine. Mallory's, San Pedros, Pier 500, Winzer Stube, Carbone's Pizza, and that's just a few of the many. There's entertainment for all ages. From the beach for the youngsters near the parking lot, to the beach at the end of the pier for a more mature crowd, you can get your swim on. The Phipps theater is there and they always have something happening. I can't grasp how many fish I have caught along the pier over the years...but if you are fishing to feed yourself, you should probably fish elsewhere. A caught fish there worth eating are less then what I can count on one hand out of each hundred. That being said, there are a ton of fish and quite the variety. Read moreLakefront is a really nice senic park. It has a lot of offer including a swimming beach, band shell, a dike for walking, fishing, outdoor excersise equipment, playground, grill and picnic areas, open green space, and boat launch. During the summer they host concerts with concession for sale. Great for walking and playing AR games like Pokemon Go or Ingress. Beyond the activities there is also the historic significance of the park. The Hudson arch and dike mark the old toll bridge that linked Hudson to Minnesota prior to the 94 bridge. While it is a very lovely and lively park sometimes it is not the cleanest. This is often due to the flooding that occurs along the river and the popularity of the park. Despite that, the cleanliness does little to detract from how much I enjoy this park. A great place for a number of outdoor activities in...

You get the best of everything here — stunning river views, wide open fields where you can stretch out, and trails that wind through the park for a refreshing walk.
It feels tucked away enough to be calm and relaxing, but it’s still close to downtown. Whether you want to go for a stroll, bring a picnic, enjoy the open space, or just sit by the water, this park has it all. The trails are easy to follow, the big fields are great for families or just laying out, and the riverfront views never disappoint.
One of Hudson’s best-kept secrets — definitely a...
