The Red Twig — Local services in Hudson

My experience with the red twig was extremely disappointing, frustrating and overall awful. It is the worst experience I’ve ever experienced in my life. They demanded a 50% deposit of $4000 that was apparently nonrefundable even though they did not incur any costs when we canceled our wedding due to serious health issues. We were still planning on using them at a later date.

We tried to work with them, but they were unwilling to work with us. Even though we gave them enough notice so they did not order any flowers beforehand or incur any costs. We went to the store to speak with them because they would not take our calls or reply to our messages. When we walked in to their store Michelle, the owner, literally ran to the back room and did not come out the entire time we were there. Obviously, she refused to meet with us. The thing I was the most excited about for my wedding, (other than marrying my husband, of course) were our flowers and the design of the two ballrooms at the Tudor Arms Hotel. When I met Michelle, I had a very clear idea of what I wanted, but not a clue how it could be executed. A true artist, she took my rambling words and random mishmosh of photos, along with our love of Colonial Williamsburg, Magnolia leaves and Harry Potter, and created breathtakingly beautiful, unique bouquets, boutonnières, arrangements and centerpieces using a variety of flowers, fruit, greenery, veggies, lanterns, candelabras, votives, etc. I received so many compliments the night of our wedding on our decor and am still getting feedback on it! Simply put, if you are having a wedding or special event in the area and want a professional but very fun florist to work with, you need to contact Michelle and her team at the Red Twig. She was amazing, very well organized and has the eye for design. We had ideas and visions of what floral colors we wanted for our wedding but had no clue the exact flowers or designs. Michelle worked with us to create a vision board and really listened to what we wanted and didn't want. By the time the wedding arrived, she created exactly what we were looking for.
