I started going to them when I decided I wanted to be a photographer about 3 years ago. They were extremely helpful. I didn't know for sure what I wanted or even needed to begin. The owner showed me various cameras and discussed each of them. He didn't try to talk me into an expensive camera just to make a sale. In fact, he suggested that I begin with a crop sensor and had me hold various models and brands so I could feel which was comfortable and easy to use for me. I went with the Canon T3. He explained all the functions and buttons. Anytime I need anything, everyone in the store is very helpful and knowledgeable. They don't hesitate to explain things to me. I just upgraded to the 6D a few days ago and Brad who now runs it, did the same thing. Showed me the cameras' ins and outs and answered all my many questions. Didn't try to sell me stuff I didn't want. Doug and Brad are always right there when I need them and very amazing at explaining things to me in a way I can understand. Sure other places may have something for less price but the extra buck or two pays for peace of mind and it supports the local mom n pop places that need it most. I refuse to go anywhere else unless they can't get it. I love...
Read moreI called and what I could only guess is the same person “Javier” that is noted in other reviews answered. My complaint is that I identified that I was interested in video cameras. When searching Google they came up under a video cameras. So being very much of a novice, I told the person I was interested to come in to ask questions about video cameras and equipment. At which point the person said well “it depends on if we have customers”.
My first turn off was that he didn’t consider me as a customer.
Then when I drove over there (a good distance away) I noticed their inventory appeared to be for still photography. When asked if any equipment they had was for video. He replied not really. That the ones they had were limited to a few minutes of video.
I know I had expressed over the phone my interest in video equipment. Why not tell me the information before I drive all the way there? Oh yeah, that’s because they didn’t even consider me as a customer in the first place.
They will most likely reply to this and it will be without...
Read moreDONT BUY A POINT AND SHOOT FROM HERE- I went here and got a point and shoot film camera for about $80 and 3 rolls of Fuji film for a total of $120. I was told there’s no returns, weird, but I was also told it works and they test it before selling. I got new batteries for it elsewhere, so that cost me more and I was trying to troubleshoot and everything and it still didn’t work. I brought it in and they fiddled with it and what do you know, it didn’t work just like I told them. It would turn on and show the film registered and then it would just stop working. They tried saying your batteries don’t have the right voltage even though they were brand new and I did my research. I brought it in hoping they could fix it or do an exchange and he said best I can do is offer half off a new one and they had a 15% deal so 65% off another one. I ended up getting another one because I was already upset and left. It still hasn’t sat right with me so I want to warn others don’t make the same mistake I did and go somewhere else with better...
