This evening after attending a birthday celebratory event with a friend, they decided to patronize Royalty Bar & Lounge. The birthday dinner was held at Los Cucos, a very casual restaurant in which I decided to wear shorts. The swift transition to Royalty, (me as a new client and customer) I was notified that my dress code was not appropriate and violated the strict clothing regulation. I informed the security officer that I wanted to speak to a manager or supervisor. I proceeded to express to the manger the caliber of a person I am, the one day I decided to wear shorts in which I was still very put together (Rolex watch, Gucci shoes, Comme des Garcons shirt, Burberry belt). I asked questions to get a clear understanding of the casual setting, which she rudely responded, “Did you not go online and read the dress code and requirements?” I responded to her caddy remark, “No, I’m actually visiting with a close friend, which happens to be her birthday; I live in the museum district; This is my first time patronizing this business.” She made the comment, “ Well maybe the next time you visit you’ll know the dress code; In response, “I would never come back to this establishment.” As a manger of a Gastroenterology practice she lacks managerial and leadership skills, especially problem solving and rectifying a situation with a new customer. This lounge was referred to us by a good friend of the owner which he informed me she was related to the owner; she is a bad representation of your business. I will be in contact with the owner to express my concerns and lack of professionalism I received as a customer. I would never refer anyone in my social group to this lounge based on the incompetence, and lack of professionalism. My God mother is the owner of All Peoples’ Funeral Home (Deborah Ali-Williams) a social media influencer on all Media platforms, especially tiktok in which I manage. Read moreI’m only leaving my honesty experience. Me and my friends been saying the bartenders are unprofessional and they hate to see pretty women approaching them for a drink . They will sit and act like a ghost is in front of them . We are very excited another bar opened around the corner named Allure . So yesterday 4/30/25 me and the girls decided to go there to watch the game plus it was happy hour . So I tapped my phone to get one drink since my head was hurting a bit . That’s all I wanted .. A bartender name Brittney gave me my receipt saying it only went through for 4 cents . I log in on my bank app and showed her it went through for 1.00 … later on the next day I look at my app bank transactions it shows the $1 changed to 12.87 …she never approached me to fix the situation … she went to make hookahs and never came back towards me about it ..she knew exactly what she was doing … so happened I screenshot the first charge which was the $1 ....count your days girl scamming ppl for their hard earned money better yet don’t look me in my eyes next time I see you .. This place needs a UPGRADE ON THEIR WORKERS … I told my friends I wanted to speak to a manager but I know they will put anybody on the phone to act as a manager … hopefully this reaches Corporate.. Read moreWhen I first started going I though it was a nice grown folks atmosphere and a good chill spot. But after going many months and getting cheated out of my money, I had different thoughts. I hardly ever checked my receipts, just paid it and kept it moving. One night I didn’t have much cash so I used my card. I was charged one price and the next day my card showed a different price. I called the owner and told her of my concerns. She was rude and unhelpful. She told me she would look into the invoices and get back with me, it’s been about 4 months ago and have yet heard from her even though I was still patronizing her establishment. What did happen was I started getting ignored by the bartenders and waitresses. I was yelled at by the owner for asking her was I invisible. I’ve been frowned at because I made the complaint. And yet I still went and invited others to join me. I’ve invited family and friends who’ve came back saying they were over charged or that they were given a receipt with one price but their credit card was charged a different price.
