I have never been treated the way my family and I had during our visit to the Fall Creek theater. We purchased a large soda with our meal and asked for courtesy cups like we normally do. This time the concession stand staff said that they had the cups but that they couldn't give them out. They suggested that we ask the bar for cups. The bar tender also indicated that they could not give us any cups, but no one informed us that if we wanted to cups we would have to pay for them.
That said, I went back to the soda machine and pulled 2 additional cups from the dispenser and went to go get some napkins. At that time, I realized that I needed 1 more cup and told my daughter to go and get one more cup from the dispenser. She and I both caught up with the rest of the family and proceeded to go into the movie theater. At that point the manager who we have no name because she was not in uniform nor did she have on a badge came running over (literally) to tell us that we'd have to pay for the cups. I thought she was kidding and proceeded to walk into the theater. She then proceeded to tell us that we would have to pay for the cups or give them back. That's when things took a turn for the worse.
We handed her the cups back. Upon realizing that the ticket counter had the clear plastic cups we asked the employees there if we could have some of those cups. They happily abliged. We then proceeded to try and enter the theater a second time and the manager came running over to us again, this time telling us that we could not use those clear cups either because they were for liquor. She stood and waited for us to hand those cups over. At that point, angry and fed up with her antics over $0.02 cups, I asked for her manager or director.
In the end, we spoke to Joseph, the general manager of the theater, gave us our money back along with free movie comps. I appreciate how well he handled the situation. This is the reason why I gave them 2 stars instead of the one star they truly deserve.
The way the initial manager handled the situation was a disgrace. We gave the movie comps away and will not be returning. No one deserves to be...
Read moreI’ve been coming here since they first opened, I’ve had my sons bday party here and have experienced everything with this location. I’ve even dropped my daughter and her friends off here after they have shown me proof that they bought tickets. However, on today when I dropped my daughter off and made it to my destination she called me and said they are not letting them see the movie because they don’t have an ID, I ask are they doing that to everyone and she responds yes and she needs me to come back and show my id so they can go inside the theater. I’m upset but I still come back and wait in line with them. They show proof of their purchase, get their tickets ,we walk past the booth and I walk to my vehicle and head back to my destination, just for her to call me again and say “Dad they came in and asked who are we with and told us now we need an adult with us to watch the movie”. I tell her just get a refund and watch another movie but she says “ they said it doesn’t matter what movie we pick we still need an ID to watch it” … but when I was there with them they didn’t ask for anyone of the several people in front of us for Id! There are no signs posted anywhere stating this but yet they want to pick on two little black girls that have been coming there for years now! I will not be back nor my daughter, or family members. I hope they get over whatever it is they have against little black girls coming to see a movie because this is some bs! I can understand if they were causing trouble but that’s not the case! I hope my review helps others who have dealt with this same issue or are thinking about being patrons to this...
Read moreFor our second time visiting this theater, our experience was so bad that we’ve decided not to return even though it’s less than 10 minutes away from home. I was shocked by the concession stand employee’s response to my order of bone-in wings. She said their wings are gross and suggested I order them from the cafe because they taste better over there. I asked her if all the cooked food they serve is gross and she said no, mainly just the wings.
So I then walked over with my family across to the cafe and was told they are closed. I’m not sure if the girl working the concession stand just didn’t feel like making wings or if they really are gross, but who tells a customer that? It soured my whole experience. So I just ordered fries instead and proceeded to pay for our food and collect our tickets.
The employees working the ticket collection were completely numb and didn’t even greet us. No hello, no smile. We get to our seats and they’re covered in popcorn and who knows what else. Apparently, they don’t clean the theaters before a new movie starts.
I didn’t see anyone that appeared to be in authority running things. Management needs to take control of this theater. Such a shame that we have a theater so conveniently close to us and we can’t use it.
To add to all the other atrocities in service, the seats don’t recline and are pretty uncomfortable. Our first experience wasn’t great, but I decided to give it one more try since they had a late showing of the movie we wanted to see, which ended up being a great movie. The theater and employees though, were just a...
