We visited a local Target today, 27 Dec 2024, to get a few clothing items. I found that Target offers military discounts while thumbing through the app. It doesn't specify any specific times, days, or dates. After scanning all the items and giving us our total, we ask the attendant to apply our military discount. He stated that there was no discount so in politely pointed to the Target app to show him what we'd found. I then "Googled" it to reassure him that Target does offer military discounts to Active Duty, Reserves, and Veterans. He then called over what I can only assume was a supervisor and she stated they only offer military discounts during May and November. I visited Customer Service to verify this and was told the same thing. Still not satisfied, I called Target Corporate only to be told the same thing. So, I took that opportunity to inform her that their app was misleading. I know veterans to be very literal people due to the nature of military structure. We read orders and follow them. If the orders are incomplete or unclear, safety and well being become an issue. I know this isn't a life or death matter but so often, people thank service members for their service. To think that the tokens of appreciation in the form of military discounts would not have clear instructions as to how they are applied is very discouraging. Veterans are often hesitant to ask for discounts because we feel as though our sacrifices weren't for recognition or praise. We do it because it simply has to get done to ensure America is able to remain the land of the free and the home of the brave. The embarrasment of being told the opposite of what is cleary stated in "black & white" is not only abhorrent but very much unacceptable! As much as I like Target, I'll be taking my few dollars elsewhere until the rectify this. I have no issue being told "no". I just don't appreciate the "misimformation". That is...
Read moreTarget in Humble is terrible I was there yesterday and my purchase came out to $236 and I swiped my card and it took $161 off my card but went back to a screen like I never paid four times and the manager's at Target pretty much said that it was my problem and I have to call my card company. I asked to speak to the supervisor and was told he is doing more important things right now and don't have time to come talk to me. I was left standing there for over 45mins before I got upset and left and called the corporate office. I am very disappointed because I liked shopping at target but as of right now they have still stolen 645.45 cents from my kids mouths. The team leader Aldo and his supervisor John were very rude I would not recommend this store to anyone if you want good customer service!!!!!!! 12/10/21 Update guys they finally gave me my money back a month ago it literally took them almost 5 months to give me my money back me and my kids almost starved that mouth and I've been so behind on bills ever since I just can't catch up having to come out of pocket 645.45 for that long really put me in a bind I will probably never shop at Target again my heart still races even I think of this experience and how it was...
Read morePlace is clean and friendly but it's a chore to always having to price match at guest services especially when there are others in line waiting for probably more important reasons. If you had a separate line for price matching or perhaps more members helping it would probably speed up services. Perhaps you could just make one of your head cashiers or CSR price match on the check out lanes.
This is also one of the first targets to actually limit and enforce your policy on price matching more than one of the same items. I'm not sure if it was because of the long line at sevice desk or not but the team member could only price match one item. I know your policy states it can limit the amount of items but to actually enforce them. Your policy states, "We reserve the right to limit price quantities of price matches per identical item per guest for local and/or online competitor matches." As i said before this target actually used and enforced that right, which is no problem it just sucks that now I have to either drive to the other target that isn't as strict or go to the competitor and...
