I don't usually go to Wally World, but GO they said, they have EVERYTHING, they said, it will be FUN, they said...so off I went to hunt down a mini fridge with expectation of a mini adventure. (No , I didn't wear rollers in my hair or a tutu, but I SHOULD have. My apologies). After losing 7 pounds of water weight just from walking the parameters of this monstrous city of wares, I could not find anything remotely resembling a fridge. Now dehydrated and fighting feelings of loneliness, I set off for the "pick up/ customer service " area way in the back. I estimated it would be a 2 day journey...luckily I had a bag of granola in my purse. I arrived to see a youth bent over on a stool , playing games on his phone. He was so engrossed , his tongue was protruding. I stood there about 3 feet away, wondering when he would sense the presence of another human being.... but it sadly never happened. Another 3 minutes passed and I sighed. Loudly. Startled, he said, "oh ....did you need help?" (Still perched on his stool, still clutching his cell) I FELT like saying..."help? Oh not at all. I drove 30 minutes just to come here to witness your amazing gift of doing nothing. I heard it was really something to see".... But.. .I was nice , mainly because I was frail from walking 40 miles, and told him I needed a mini fridge. He said they didn't have any and I would have to order online. Wait...what? Really? Just get on the website and order it to arrive here? He didn't know, so he went back into the bowels of the Walmart caves and emerged with a small little woman....scowling and angry. She looked like she just killed her parents. She said we. Don't. Do. That. Here. In impaling and frightening staccato jabbing sounds. So...I order it myself then? It. Has. Nothing. To. Do. with .our. store. Go. Online! , she hissed....pivoted and stomped off. I wanted to run. No, I wanted to Flee....before I was under a silver dome on her dinner plate that night. Anyway, I did what the ogre suggested and ordered my fridge. 2 weeks later, they email it isn't in stock. Ridiculous. Called to verify a different fridge, and I think I may have gotten the ogre's ruder sister by mistake...but successfully ordered a different fridge. It came a week later with the bottom of the shipping box completely ripped off. I simply lifted the box upward and there was my fridge. It rattles and whirs loudly....but as God is my witness, I will never go into the hellish lands of the Walmartians...
Read moreI have been coming here to shop at this Walmart for ages. I actually prefer the overall vibe & energy at THIS specific location over any other. The employees are just really cool at this one. I do frequent this Walmart quite often, actually.. So I get to see firsthand how they truly run things there. And I'd have to say that Walmart should definitely feel BEYOND lucky to have such solid people on their payroll. I've also been to other Walmart locations that were NOT even nearly as much of a store as this location is. All the way down to its very core, which is clearly the heart just as any company: the employees. The customers who keep $$ coming in a continuous flow, which keep the store/company alive, and the employees who are out there making sure those same customers KEEP COMING BACK. It's a perfect storm. But not ensuring customers are satisfied can lead to a place no business ever wants to be.. So the simple fact that they make each experience pleasant and satisfactory enough to ensure your return is definitely a huge factor. The Westminster location sucks. They give me problems like it's their sole main purpose for existing.. It's ridiculous, and I can't stand it & won't stand for it. I refuse to let them judge me and insult me. They are just the worst at everything over there, it seems! They gotta get their shit together. I mean, they're a much larger store, I get it. But they think since they have certain services and/or products that other locations don't, DOES NOT mean they can just treat their customers with such risregard and disrespect is beyond me.. I just can't wrap my head around it. So it means an extra whole lot to be treated APPROPRIATELY and not feel judged or ignored or insulted are all bonuses! Thank you H.B. Walmart! You're the best in my eyes! I'm forever your loyal customer. I'm not just a "Walmart" shopper - I'm strictly a H.B. Walmart...
Read moreI came to this location yesterday & was looking to buy a watch. After finding one I waited 20 mins for a employee to get the watch for me, only to be told they couldn't unlock the cabinet until today! Seriously? Then I headed to the food isles to buy our groceries. There were literally, 4 of the 6 isles blocked (@ both ends) with stacks & stacks of boxes randomly placed anywhere & everywhere thru out the floor, pallets blocking any chance of making your way down those isles & clusters of employees, some sorting, some stocking but ALL who shared looks of disgust on their faces if you even thought about shopping down those isles. In fact 2 employees continued throwing empty boxes in my direction. Not once did any one of them ever consider acknowledging me or the situation at hand. Of course, I understand the need to keep shelves stocked, I've done my share of the retail grind, I have. Buy you better get back to the basics of good customer service! We are not the enemy nor should we be treated as such. Not only have you lost out on my purchasing the watch & this weekends groceries for my family, the blatant reality that customer service is a "thing of the past inside this location has most definitely convinced me to not only take this store off my radar permanently, I'm already struggling with whether or not I will ever step foot inside Walmart again. I mean, my last impression was trying to make my way around the ridiculous "self checkout" lines, which by the way, were the ONLY registars open! If customer service hasn't intentionally been abolished at this location I would suggest shaking it hard of all that exsists within those walls bcuz the only proven success of the retail industry IS the one built around the core of that business, being its customer...
