I had the worst customer service here with the African American lady. Took husbands ex-wife daughter too look at dresses and we had found one that she liked. We asked if it was possible she could try it own and the lady answered so rudely. She said something along the lines of you people always come in and try and never buy. I was left FLABBERGASTED!! Never in my life have has anyone ever told me that when I went to try on clothing. I told her how do you expect me to buy something if I don’t know how it looks on her (this was $1000 dress) and a quince dress is an important decision not something she can just choose. And to top it off she bodyshame a 14 year old girl, right there is where I drew the line and told her to keep her dress. Thankfully we found a much better store with better quality dresses and the workers were amazing!! La Estrella in Fortpayne, AL !! My little sister went here looking for a military ball dress yesterday and the lady was body shaming her the whole time. Then while doing so she tried to get her friends to tell her she was big when every dress she tried on was her true size. She has a small waist but wide hips if she would have gotten a bigger size she would’ve needed the whole dress to get tailored to her size when it simply wasn’t needed. She told her no to every dress then before she could try anything else on she took away all of the other dresses and continued to body shame her. It wouldn’t be the such a issue if this weren’t the 2nd time this same employee harassed her both times she has been there. The idea is to get the customer to buy not to run them off in shame. They were so rude, I went there just to buy a dress to feel pretty and own. But when I went to try it on, They asked what event I was buying for and I told them I don’t have one. So they asked if it was just for fun and I said yes. They took it as that I was only trying dresses and not buying any. I tried to correct her and tell her I was genuinely just buying a dress and they wouldn’t listen and kept telling me i was lying so I told them I was not giving them a dim and tried to leave, than another girl tried to help us on the way out and we told her what happened and she just blamed it on the other girls english.
