The food was sooo fresh which was great, because it was a buffet. My drink (unsweet tea) was very gross and bitter. The service was overall ok. Although, the waiter only came over when she saw the drinks were empty. I needed a different drink, but she only came over at the end of our meal to refresh my dad's sweet tea. He ordered a sweet tea and NO ice, yet it had lots of ice both times. Mine was just an unsweetened tea with Splenda packets on the side, and it was sour and bitter. As if it was old, and someone just kept putting more in it without cleaning out the old tea, and it was mixed all together. But, none the less, she was ok. The food was really good though and fresh. The orange slices were my favorite though. I got a 3rd plate of just oranges (8 slices) and about 1 egg with of boiled cut up eggs from the salad section. The deserts was also decent. The apple pie wasn't done though, very doughy, but the filing was very delightful. The banana pudding seemed more naturally sweet with a little sugar so it was perfectly balanced. It wasn't too sweet tasting or sugary. I left feeling satisfied and not bloated like I usually do when I eat this sort of food. I paid over $21+ plus tips and my dad paid $19+ plus tips with a senior discount. The front clerk asked me if I wanted a senior discount after my dad paid his. She had a smirk when she said it. I just smiled and added my tip on my bill so we could be seated. Me and my dad had a good time overall, atmospherically, on our "Daddy and...
Read morePretty place, lots of potential. The presentation of the food was decent. The food itself however was horrible. We paid over $65 for 2 adults & a child. That would have been ok if there was crab & steak or something on the buffet. The crab was deep fried with no meat in it. The macaroni was weirdly made- I dont think it was cheese- like seriously, what was that?! The flavor of all the food was pretty bad. I thought it would be similar to the 88 buffet or Meteor buffet, but this new place doesn't even rank up there with them. This business won't make it long. The food was terrible. You pay & are forced to tip as soon as you walk in. While we were up, I guess the server took our receipt. We were tempted to just say nevermind and get a refund but our receipt was gone so we tried to at least get our money's worth. I wouldn't recommend this place at all. Kinda sad. We were excited. The other 2 buffets are way better & probably cheaper too. Again, this place has a ton of potential as far as location & ambience- but if you can't cook, who cares about the rest. Not many vegetables. How do you mess up fried catfish? The noodles looked old & dry. The rolls were like wheat rolls, and almost hidden. The desert area was pitiful. Fruit was mixed with raw meat so my kid wouldn't touch it either. We went on a Friday night. It should have been great for that price. Never again. Take your $...
Read moreHusband and I went on a Thursday during lunch time. My pregnant self was super excited to try out this new buffet but was a little disappointed.
When you walk in, you will have to pay first and then you get to sit anywhere you like. It felt like a cafeteria where you grab some food and look for an open seat. Once you find a seat, a waitress will come and ask for your receipt and then bring you your drinks.
Food options were okay. The only thing I enjoyed was the sashimi and the regular salads and matcha ice cream.
They did not refill our drinks. I had to wave down the waitress for a refill.
Also, side note- we found a small hair on the sushi…
Only complaint we had was when we got up to grab desert and we walked back to our table to see that the waitress had clean our table and had given our table to someone else when we weren’t even done yet. They need to create a different system or make sure that their customer is completely done and has left before bussing the table and seating someone else there.
We approached another waitress to let her know the situation and she was able to find us a table so we can finish our desert and head on out. She did ask for our receipt in which I informed her that the first waitress kept it. She also asked us if we tipped on the card and I said yes…
Not sure if I would be back until they figure out the...
