I thrift a lot and have thrifted all over the country and several other countries. This is by far the worst thrift store Iâve ever been to! Items dangerously piled and precariously placed makes it so disabled people canât get around. Hardly anything is priced so you keep having to ask the creepy man at the front. The first thing I picked up was taken out of my hands and I was told that it was accidentally put back and was being held- despite me grabbing it from the middle of a pile in a bin under the table in the corner of the shop. Against my better judgement I made the mistake of letting them hold some of my items while I shopped- they donât have any bags, buggies, or baskets to hold anything. I trusted them after they made a HUGE show of saying how they wouldnât let anyone touch my pile. Well when I go to check out 1/3 is sitting where I left it in the âpretendâ holding area- which was just a rack with other clothes still for sale like normal. 1/3 has been folded, wrung up and bagged - despite me saying I want to look through everything one last time and go over the prices with him since they werenât labeled. The last 1/3 of my stuff is missing- either taken by other customers or literally put back!!! Like I asked where my fabric was and he literally just pointed to the bin I had dug it out from and said he put it back. Not to mention the bugs I saw on the way out or all the furniture and goods being left to rot in the open outside the place. Donât go here if you have a sane mind- nothing makes sense here and the employees...
Read moreIncredibly messy and not in the way thrift stores are generally messy but truly like a bad hoarderâs paradise of mostly junk and trash with the very real possibility of rodents, snakes and bugs. A fire hazard too. Mold hazard as well considering a bunch of stuff like furniture and household items are left out in the elements. Very little is priced and when you ask someone, the prices seem awfully high for donated thrift stuff. Itâs almost as though they donât want to sell it. Ironically, years ago it used to be a pretty good place for finding childrenâs clothing and toys. Now nothing makes sense and piles are so bad you canât even get around. I think the owners are taking treasures from donations and selling on the internet. And obviously that is their prerogative but also part of the fun of thrifting is finding that random treasure. I enjoy thrifting kidâs toys and random great finds but even if such finds existed here, one isnât likely to find it among the dark and gloomy piles. The fun of the search is nonexistent among such clutter and junk. What they need to do is have a random few hours or days where everything is a dollar and decrease the piles to a...
Read moreIâm not sure how long ago the posted pictures were placed here for this store showing the $.99 tags. But this place had nothing close to that when I went. I shop thrift stores quite a bit and have a pretty good gauge of local prices. Everything I saw here was at least 300% above any other âthriftâ store in greater Huntsville area. Many small trinkets that would list from &.99-$3.00 were $10-12. I saw a small porcelain cat that I thought would go for a couple of dollars. Nope. Try $20!! Old books going for over $5, an old used crockpot that would sell for $5 anywhere else was $19. Basically this is a very disorganized, unkempt for profit thrift store that sells used items at antique store prices. Just because something is old doesnât mean it is worth money, especially if it is dirty and needing repair. Several items piled on top of other items on shelves, clothes slung on tables in piles, and many items outside on tables covered in water from a recent rain. Many many items arenât...
