Far East Super Market — Local services in Huntsville

I've been to many Asian stores here in the Huntsville Madison area and this one checks all the boxes for Thai, Filipino, Korean and Japanese ingredient lists.

There are other bigger Asian food stores in the area but I find them dim lit, unorganized or unclean in my opinion.

Far East carries Pancit noodles, lumpia wrappers, Pho broth and Noodles, Kimchi, Cornstarch/Riceflour, Udon, Fish cake for both Ramen and Korean dishes, bean sprouts and the ever difficult to find Mackerel fish for you Koreans out there.

The next best place would be to drive into Atlanta to H-Mart with an ice chest to bring back all the fresh fish you can store for a few months. But that is a 3 hour drive so Far East is good enough for my family and our week to...

Yesterday, I bought from this market. I’ve been a customer since they first opened. However, not anymore. I was paying for $26 worth of groceries and i accidentally gave the male owner $46. Instead of giving it back to me, he took the money and shoved it in the draw and then proceeded to yell at me and verbally attack me. Because i’ve been coming here for years, i let the fact that their food molds and is expired go. but after my interaction yesterday, i’m never coming back. their food is usually moldy or expired and their business etiquette is non existent. Be really careful when you purchase food items here. If there is no best used or sell by date, DON'T BUY, THEY ARE MOST LIKELY EXPIRED. We just bought a pack of Chinese sausage and it was expired in August, 2021. WHAT... We should have looked/checked but never thought it would have expired for over a year. They also use a trick not to post price of some items since they are a bit more expensive. You would only be able to find out during check out.
