Stop Light Thrift Shop — Local services in Idyllwild-Pine Cove

Definitely a spot you could spend a while looking through and finding something you want to take home! However, I found something that didn't have a price tag and I very kindly told the woman working behind the counter that I was interested in purchasing but curious about the price. Even without her looking at any branding of the item, she was knowledgeable about how much it would typically go for... Long story short, I named my price and she quickly shot it down and told me how much she paid for it and why she wanted to sell it for so much more. I get it, it's a business and she's gotta make her money and more- but when something is so well loved and worn, you have to take that into consideration too. When I declined her price, she made a snarky comment and was a bit rude when I left. Besides this, it was fun to look around but the prices were pretty steep for being second hand.

Not the best experience and sadly I don't have any desire to come back to this store...

Went in on 5/23 and the sign outside said everything 10-50% off just ask. I asked about the discount because I was interested in an item. I was quoted a discount less than 10%. I declined and the cashier stated the item was an original oil painting. It was, but the item was small and the price didn't justify the size/material/time...plus, it's a used item, no name artist. The cashier was helpful and trying to sell, he texted the owner of the booth as I quoted a price and he said she must be in the shower because she's wasn't responding. It's more like a consignment store that sells yellow tagged thrift store shirts for $22 because it's in Idylwild. Plus they will make up prices at the counter just before check out. This one time I found a nice vintage book on the book shelf with the stack of other books and went to checkout but the lady at the counter said it's going to cost me to much and for me to go find another book?? Meanwhile this lady behind me found an old family photo album and the last charged her for the album plus for every photo inside the album. They have more set prices now so hopefully you won't experience this but there process are high considering...
