I am writing to warn others about the filthy VRBO condo that we contracted but DID NOT STAY. The listing said that the condo was "clean and comfortable," but it was anything but. "Pictures below"

When we arrived, the condo was covered in dirt and dust. There was sand,dead bugs and hair in the corners, and the furniture was stained and dirty. The bathroom was even worse, with mold growing on the shower walls and hair in the drain.

We tried to clean up the condo, but it was impossible. The dirt and dust were so thick that we couldn't get rid of it. There was sticky "stuff" dried running down the walls! My Wife laundered the bedding but it did not help " When renting a unit you should not have to WORK to clean the property.

We ended up not staying in the condo for one night, We were so disgusted by the filth that we wouldnt be able to sleep. We ended up leaving early and finding a different place to stay.

I am very disappointed with this rental, and I would not recommend it to anyone. The condo was filthy and disgusting. I contacted the owners and tried to just get our money back but to no avail. He is what he offered us: 1.Send out a cleaning crew put us up in a hotel for the night. "not a solution for this filth hole of a place" plus the inconvenience of all that moving around. offered us 50% of the funds back "I wanted a full refund" 50 % back and continue the stay "I would not have stayed at this place if he was going to give me 100k" He did refund my money up to 50% which i feel was no where near what he should have done.

The listing photos were misleading. The condo was not as clean or as spacious as it appeared in the photos. The host was not responsive to our concerns. The condo was not suitable for families with young children. The filth was a health hazard, and the condo was not safe for children. We would not recommend this condo to anyone. It was filthy, unsafe, and uncomfortable. I hope that this review will help other people avoid staying in this filthy VRBO condo. Beach Cottage 2106....

HORRIBLE!!! We stayed at Beach Cottages the week of July 4th. It was absolutely the worst vacation thanks to the management. I spent $2000 booking on VRBO for the week of July 4. However, from the minute we arrived, we were harassed by management, “security“ and off-duty police officers. My 20 yr old daughter was kicked out of the pool because she did not have on a wristband even though she showed the “security guard” that she had the keys to the condo and told him the unit number we were in. However, he refused to let her stay at the pool. We went to the office 3 times to pick up the wristbands and the office was always closed. My 75-year-old mother came for the day to visit and as we returned from the beach we were turned away by “security” and told that we could not come back on the property because my mother did not have a wristband. We were forced to walk down the beach three properties to go around front to walk back three properties to enter back into our condo even though I had a wristband and THE KEYS to the condo. Every time we walked out of the condo we were harassed. As I returned from work on Wed, I was refused entry by the off duty police officer. I explained to him that I had a parking pass and keys to the condo but they were in the room and I would go up and get them and bring them back down. He again refused to let me in until my daughter brought down the pass.

I understand that the management is trying to protect its owners that reside there yearlong. However then they should not allow the condos to be rented out then if they are going to treat the renters like prisoners even after they’ve paid $2000 to stay there.

Don’t waste your money or vacation on this place. Stay at ANY of the other 100’s of nice properties on...

I had the opportunity to stay in this apartment during the month of December/January for a few days. In general terms, the apartment that we got (#2402) was in excellent condition, very complete, very well cared for and with a good view. The kitchen had a dishwasher, refrigerator with 2 bodies, electric stove, toaster, coffee maker, blender, all the dishes (bottle opener, can opener) that a family of 4 people may need. It had excellent air conditioning (both hot and cold) in addition to having these equipment with new filters. Washer and dryer are also new, I was able to use them and they are really of very good quality. The Tv that were there were practically new and both were smart TVs, you could use the well-known streaming platforms (disney, netflix, hbo, youtube) they also had a dvd player. The bathrooms were in perfect condition, very very clean down to the smallest detail. It did not have a whirlpool. The bed in the main room seemed to me to have a new mattress and the sheets and blankets were not new, but they were very well sanitized. The sofa/bed in the living room has been really very comfortable. Among the amenities it has an iron, hair dryer, juicer, toaster, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer. They have left us tablets for the dishwasher as well as soap and softeners for the washing machine. It had a balcony that allowed you to appreciate the pool and jacuzzi as the Gulf of Mexico. It is worth noting that right on the date we stayed, the end of December and the beginning of January 2023, we had a cold wave and despite this, the pool and jacuzzi were excellently heated. Lastly, in our case, each apartment has a garage. I hope it is useful to you! Remember to ask for the access code for the door to the building.

Tuve la oportunidad de alojarme en este departamento durante el mes de Diciembre/Enero algunos días. En líneas generales, el departamento que nos toco (#2402) se encontraba en exelente condición, muy completo, muy bien cuidado y con una buena vista. La cocina contaba con lavavajillas heladera de 2 cuerpos, cocina eléctrica, tostadora, cafetera, licuadora, toda la vajilla (destapador de botellas, abrelatas) que una familia de 4 personas, puede necesitar. Contaba con exelente climatización (tanto frío como calor) además de contar estos equipos con filtros nuevos. Lavarropa y secadora también nuevos, los pude utilizar y realmente son de muy buena calidad. Los televisores que habían eran prácticamente nuevos y ambos smart tv, se podían utilizar las plataformas de streaming conocidas (disney, netflix, hbo, youtube) además contaban con reproductor de dvd. Los baños estaban en perfectas condiciones, muy muy limpios al más mínimo detalle. No contaba con hidromasaje. La cama de la habitación principal me pareció que tenia colchón nuevo y las sabanas y frazadas no eran nuevas, pero estaban muy bien higienizadas. El sillón/cama del living ha sido realmente muy confortable. Entre las comodidades cuenta con plancha, secador de cabello, juguera, tostadora, lavavajillas, lavadora, secadora. Nos han dejado pastillas para el lavavajillas como también jabón y suavizantes para el lavarropa. Contaba con un balcón que te permitía apreciar la pileta y jacuzzi como el Golfo de México. Vale la pena destacar que justo en la fecha que estuvimos, fines de Diciembre y principio de Enero de 2023, nos tocó una ola de frío y apesar de ello, la pileta y jacuzzi se encontraban climatizados de manera exelente. Por último en nuestro caso, cada departamento cuenta con cochera. Espero les sea útil! Recuerden pedir el código de la puerta de acceso...
