Rad Bikes, Beach, Surf and Rentals — Local services in Redington Shores

We stopped in to rent some bikes for a few hours. The owner was super friendly and took lots of time with us to answer questions we had about fat tire bikes and cruiser bikes, beach access and rates. We were not sure how long we would be out so the owner told us to just take the bikes and he would list the rental as open and we could bring back anytime before closing. We had two fat tire bikes with one basket and one lock. We kept the bikes out for two hours and spent a total of $24. It happened to be 90 this day and over 100 on the heat index. so two hours is all we could do. The fat tire bikes did great on the packed sand on the beach, took a little more effort than riding on the road or sidewalks, but overall not too difficult This location has a great choice of options, great customer service and good prices. We passed some ladies on the beach who asked us if we rented the bikes. We chatted with them for a while and plugged this location for the great service they gave us. Next time we rent, we will use this location...

This is the best bike shop!! We have gone here for the last few years. This last visit takes the cake! We were packed up for a festival and noticed we had a flat tire on my bike. We went to The shop and the owner replaced the tube and fixed my bike for next to nothing. So happy to be on our way to the festival. We went over the bridge and boom! Our bike rack broke. Thankfully we didn't get too far. We called the shop and asked if by chance he had an extra rack. He said he had one for us!! We went back to the shop. He gave us an awesome deal on a used rack and helped us put it back on the car. Again, for such a small cost. We made it to our music festival safe and sound! As a Tampa/ St Pete native, I am familiar with most of the beach rentals and bike shops in the area, so I can say with certainty that RAD is special. Nathan and Laura , the owners, are not only incredibly knowledgeable but also a lovely and warm presence to be around. I recently started renting beach chairs and kayaks and I can say that I am deeply impressed with the attention to cleanliness and customer service they are!
