I went in for a Grande Carmel Ribbon Crunch and there was nothing out of the ordinary about the service, just your typical Starbucks. I walked in ~around 3:45 and by 4:07 I had not received my drink. It had gotten busy with drive thru, internet orders, and walk-in customers. By 4:12 I had asked the young lady by the registrar where orders are taken if she could help me and make my drink and she obliged. (AWESOME right?) Shortly there after the lady who originally took my order assigned her to do something else. I immediately got back in line and when the lady who originally took my order asked, "how can she help me", I replied, "I just need my drink" to which she turned over to help the staff members and said, "we're making it" with a snarky tone. Now, at this point I waited about 4 more minutes and got back in line because she did not even start making the drink I had ordered and had NO CLUE what I ordered, she didn't even ask what I ordered or my name! I was pretty torqued! I waited in line behind 3 more customers and then she asked, "How can I help you?" S - E - R - O - U - S - L - Y !!!!!!!!! I told her I wanted my money back and the name of the store manager. She said she credited to my Starbucks account, and DIDN'T give me the name of the store manager. But that was all a LIE!!!! I went up the street to the Bucks on Shadeland and 21st and the lady over there (who was AWESOME and showed concern for my plight) said that Bucks cannot put money on your account anymore, you just use it to scan for points now. So I waited 45+ mins for NO dang drink and LOST my money!!!! GEE, THANK YOU Starbucks!!!! Now, the real question, was I treated like this because I'm a straight white guy? The Bucks on Washington had pride flags EVERYWHERE!!! Almost smacked me in the face with pride paraphernalia! I was dressed in college gear and it was VERY OBVIOUS that I was not from this area. Well, that's too dog-on bad, because my son goes to school 5 mins away and I could have spent a lot of money (2-3 times per week this summer) since he's in football camp and I need a Bucks to go hang out at while he's at practice. I will NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER visit this Bucks again, I will spend my money elsewhere outside of Irvington if this is any indication on how a guy like me will get treated. It's not about the money right Starbucks!!! I'm done with...
Read moreIf I could give this place a zero I would. I would go here only cause they are closer to home. But they have messed up my drinks idk how many times. Then all cause I asked them to repeat the order for me cause the total didn't seem right the girl with dreads and glasses that works there had a attitude on top of the new girl they hired. Like I'm all for cheaper but I just wanted to make sure it was right that is all. Now another thing I have never had a issue with about putting my cigarettes out at any drive thru before because I know others may not like it. I got to drive thru and I went to put my cigarette out in my ash tray in the car and this girl clearly seen it shut the window on my face then opened said she would refuse to serve me. Like hold up. If I'm not smoking at your window then who are u. I hate this place more than anything. Beechgrove is by far the best Starbucks ever.. but everyone has they own opinions and they own experiences and this one is mine. You don't have to like it nor agree to it. But coffee is just like gambling like playing bingo it's not something people like to have messed with in the am. Nor like to be messed with period. I will never go here again. I will make that drive some where else I spend 100 bucks or more a week at Starbucks and to be treated this way is kinda fked up...
Read morePlease take down the pride flags or at least do better at making ALL LGBTQIA+ people feel welcome here........
Like, I assume, "pride flags?! I'm gay! There will definitely be kindness here!" nope, that's why tt's honestly so weird seeing this building draped in pride flags because more times than not I am treated like some monster they're afraid of. It's always the women too. idk if it's the black thing, or if because I'm a guy or whatever but the fear these workers emulate is mind blowing. A cashier once got a male cashier to swap places with her, long line of at least 13 people, I'm the only one who's order she didn't take. That was 2 months ago.... After 7 years of coming here. Tuesday was the final straw, the cashier was LITERALLY trembling, grabbing at her glasses as I walked towards the counter to get my drink. like an attack against her was eminent. I love 2 minutes from here, but now I will drive out of my way, waste gas I can't afford and find a new Starbucks. Because y'all are just so afraid of black men and I don't know why. I asked people on reddit if I'm crazy and no, I'm not. I'm not the only gay black guy to experience the fear aura y'all have here. I hope y'all do better at making ALL lgbtq people...
