Update: To be clear the software not working is not their fault. I spoke to manager over phone and she told me that I could bring the tablet back in and exchange it for the one that I wanted. I can say that she was polite and she was helpful, but I am still a bit frustrated with the software not working which is again not there fault.
Although If I was the manager I would have told me to bring it back and I will see what kind of discount we can get for you to accommodate your inconvenience due to miscommunication of software specifications and to the respect that we should have set up and downloaded the application to be certain our merchandise met your requirements for use. Because I do remember asking her if we could open it [ so I could load game right then and try it ] and use it right now and she said it has to be connected to the Internet and then I can use the tablet after setup. Again if I was the sale associate I would have set it up for me on the stores wifi and loaded the game.
Those ten minutes would have saved me 30 dollars in Lyft fares and 3-4 hours of time, and two weeks of playtime.
I have to be honest I was in sales and it is common knowledge to push the items that could quickly lose value do to marketing of newer devices that make the older stock obsolete. Because the item I was sold was there "oldest" iPad. If I was manager I would tell employees to try to sell older items first before they loose all value. As they say don't hate the player hate the game.
Origina review: I had to get a ride 10 mi there 10 miles back to the disc replay to get a tablet cuz I wanted to play warzone call of duty mobile war zone. I asked them I said I need a tablet that plays war zone call of duty mobile war zone I want war zone I want to make sure it plays war zone. I get home I download all the apps I need to it lets me download warzone and even says in the app store that it's compatible with my tablet then I open the app up and it says your device is not compatible with call of duty war zone. Read moreNot happy with this location at all. Got a text about a special for the 4th. All dvd movies 9.99 and under are 1.05. So i did just that. I get up to the counter and because some of what i picked had multiple dvds in it they weren't included. Maybe you should put the box sets in a different spot or specify in your sale blue ray, and box sets aren't included. Almost every customer had this problem and didn't purchase all of what they picked because of it. Every-time i am here when i pay Im asked for my id because the back of my debit card says see id in the signature space. The cashier argued with me over this and said they don't request id on purchases 100.00 or under but every other time they have asked me for it. Furthermore he didn't look at the back of my card and he even suggested ive got my stores and policy's mixed up. I come here every few months usually and I'm not thrilled at all about how rude this individual was with me. This has got to be the worst experience at this location I have ever had. I may just go to a different one in the future if this one is going to be like this. No signs on the door no details nothing further explaining the hidden print for the quote on quote sale. If customers knew before they even came in blue rays and boxed sets aren't included this could have prevented customers wasting time and having to pass on purchasing. Furthermore how is a customer supposed to know a stores credit card policy? I wrote see id on my card so that if my card is stolen its an extra precautionary to prevent theft purchases. Glad to know not all disc replay employees check the card. I guess pick and choose if they ask or not. Ive been in with my husband and used his card and they refused the purchase because my husband was in the car and i didn't have his id to verify the card. I had to go get him and re wait in line to make the purchase on this day.
This employee and what he did and said is highly unacceptable. Makes me as a customer feel like im not safe to make a purchase in there. One day transactions are highly guarded and the next they are lax with...
Read moreIf you buy a game here, insist to see the condition of the game disk before they charge your card!
Management tried to force me to accept store credit instead of a refund when it turned out the game I paid for had been damaged in storage.
I went to purchase Punch Out for the Wii. When fetching the game from storage, the store associate noticed that the disk was covered in glue from the storage sleeves. After seeing him struggle to clean the disk, I told him I did not want it. However, my credit card had already been processed and they had no other copies of the game. The associate asked me to wait for his manager to reverse the transaction.
When she finally finished helping other customers, the manager refused to refund my money. The manager insisted I had to either accept store credit or wait for them to resurface the disk. I had food melting in the car and a family member waiting for me -- I did not want to stand around waiting for them to fix a game messed up by their own inventory storage. The manager treated me like I had taken the game home despite the fact I asked for the transaction reversal before I even received the product.
Only when our argument started to scare customers away did the manager finally agree to refund the money back to my card.
I tried to be calm and reasonable. I understand manager's position. I understand the policy for refunds with store credit, but you can't treat a customer like this when they hadn't even left the store. It's completely unreasonable to take a customer's money and then expect them to compromise when it turns out the product they paid for was severely damaged in storage.
I'm disappointed. The store attracted me because of its great selection of pre-owned games. I wanted this store to be my go-to for vintage games. But after this incident, I doubt I will...
