White Castle — Restaurant in Indianapolis

I have been coming to this White Castle since I was a child. Nearly 40 Years of dining at this restaurant. I just went into the bathroom before I ordered, and I'm so glad I did. I just watched one of the guys working the late shift walk out of the bathroom without washing his hands.

While I understand staff must wash their hands when they get back into the kitchen, it is also customary to wash your hands so that other people do not have to touch the handle after you. I'm glad this restaurant has paper towels, otherwise I would have been more livid than I already am.

I spent nearly half of my working career working in the food industry. I fully understand all of the health code restrictions that go in place for restaurant workers. For somebody to not wash his hands, and immediately touched the door handle the other folks have to use, that is disgusting. Again, I understand he's going to wash his hands in the kitchen anyway, but without paper towels I would have had to touch the handle that this man touched before me. With all due respect, I am done with this restaurant. You all need better service than to have somebody not wash his hands when he uses...

I am so pissed off. I literally just left here for the second time and if I went back it would be the third time. I went back because I asked for two doubles one with no onions and one with. What do I get two doubles with regular cheese and bacon. I don't eat pork for one. For two when I originally ordered the lady was not responsive when speaking to her. And then you give me the wrong food. So then I go back tell them what happen the Manager who has on a totally same exact uniform as the others tells me after asking to speak with the manager he is the manager. Food gets remade all for my burger to be bent backwards and soggy. So I go right back in and at this point I had to yell that I wanted my food made right and why should I have to pay for food and get it sloppy. This is just too much. You tell me I don't have to yell and offer me the money back but I insist I want the food. I get the food and after the fourth time it's still soggy tastes horribly. Attached the pictures. Visited while visiting my Parents who live in Greenwood. I live in South Carolina and sadly don't have White Castles there. So it's always a must stop and enjoy the little square hamburgers I grew up on. The crew was super nice. Restaurant was clean and had some updates since my last visit last year. Service was quick. Food was good but not like I had last time. Could taste Difference from last visit. The hamburger patty was smaller n not as many onions as I was use to. Because of these observations I could taste more of the bun which was not emjoyable. My Dad also commented on the taste. Even though they live in Greenwood White Castle is not a place he eats at when I'm not visiting. I bought 4 sliders to take home because i was going back to SC in the morning. It brought back good memories and glad we stopped. I will say the taste difference .see me dosappointed. Not so sure if I will make a stop at White Castle my next trip home. I may give a different location a try?...
