management needs A LOT OF WORK! here was my BAD experience!
I was at hobby lobby on US highway 31. I was there to purchase some fabric to do a sewing craft with my kids. as I entered the department there was a lady cutting fabric, and when I went up to the counter there was not. I allowed my 6 year old to ring the bell, her and her 9 year old sister were talking about the blanket we were going to make. 5 min later I rang the bell again, and yet there was still no response. I sent my daughters to ask an employee to page some one and noted the clock, that we had been standing there 10 min. they paged "code one to fabrics" and yet we waited. There were now two other customers waiting with us. My children were getting restless, I went to the cashier and asked them to page someone as we now had been waiting for 20 min. I would have abandoned the wait A LOT sooner but my daughters were so happy about the blanket they were going to make. yet another 5 min passed before a gentleman approached us, there was no identification or way to even know he worked for hobby lobby, as he was just in a flannel shirt and jeans. He politely said that the lady who cuts fabric was on lunch break and will not be back for 15 min. I explained to him I had already been waiting for now 25 min, and for the 1/4 yard of fabric I was not going to wait any longer. When I went to pay, the manager was paged to a different register when there was a customer in front of me. I got to the register of the cashier that had paged the fabric customer service person the second time for me. Her name on the receipt is Rebecca M I explained to her that no one had helped me and that there were 2 other customers waiting, one I had noticed had at least 3 spools of fabric. She offered to page a manager, but i figured after waiting for 30 min, if a manager had not found it important enough to help us then, why would they change their mind now. I also pointed out to her that the manager was already paged prior to me getting to her to yet a different register, those customers also had not been helped yet. I was not going to wait any longer for them.
Your employees, the cashier, and the gentleman who obviously approached me from his break, or just out of uniform were as helpful as they could be. The managers I would say were extremely useless. They did not address the page, or second page to the fabrics department, they did not address the page to the register in any form of timely manor. I feel if they were going to shut down the fabric cutting for the lunch break they could have at least put up a sign...
Read moreHorrendous experience. First I brought up canvases that were supposed to be half off (or sonI thought because of the large sign OVER them. The cashier, who's name I didnt catch, showed how bothered she was that I was expressing what I saw. I then said no night deal, which ones are the ones on sale. blank stare. Um, okay. So I said I will go grab new ones she looks at me like I spoke in tongues, throws her arms up and says ooookay. I go back to grab new ones and 3... yes THREE employees stand there staring at me. So I stop and look at them. No, hi, can we help you. No, let's assist you in anyway. Just stares. So I awkwardly grab my item and head back to the register. Along the way I sat a pink marker I was going to get. The cashier immediately asks where that marker is. And repeats " are you going to get that marker you had ". Are you really implying that I STOLE A MARKER. I'm 40 and just spent 200 plus. Seriously?! She scoffs and finishes my transaction. I head to the car and my daughter even asked, "what is her problem with you". I shop at this door a lot to manage stuff for my business. I will never stop foot in the store again. I will continue to take this and escalate it until something is done about that type...
Read moreI will never, ever go back into the Greenwood Hobby Lobby again! My family and I have spent thousands and thousands of dollars in that particular store over the years. We just had a very shocking, aggressive encounter with a male employee who works in the Framing Department and almost had to call the police. It all started with the little silver Bell that you ring for service. My mother hit it twice after we had stood waiting on someone to help us for a few minutes, and my 3 year old grandchild hit it once VERY LIGHTLY, just because he was curious. A man came out, he was either sleeping in a back room or he was high! He yanked the bell off of the counter (that was actually stuck on with Velcro) and yelled at my daughter that she needed to control her child! He literally got red faced and postured my daughter, got up into her face so close that he was spitting. It was so crazy and unexpected! There was something wrong with him! We were actually frightened! We had to call corporate and should have called the police. And this is suppose to be a Faith-based company, what...
