The cashier's behavior was extremely rude. She seemed overly concerned about the voice calling out the numbers for the next cashier instead of focusing on assisting the next customer.
When my sister and I, who were sharing a cart, approached the register, the next number called was for the adjacent register. I began to place my five items on the counter, but the cashier proceeded to chastise me, claiming it was "not right" and "wrong" to do so. She proceeds to tell me the number caller was like Alexa (whatever that means), and that I need to listen to it. Her tone was very condescending.
What made matters worse was that she continued to discuss me with other coworkers as if I wasn't present. Despite their attempts to move on, she insisted on proving her point.

The line extends out into the clothing department and there is 3 registers open but plenty of people out stocking. Unacceptable to wait over half an hour for checkout.
