Snow Crab Juicy Seafood — Restaurant in Indianapolis

The food was OK, nothing to get excited about, and no better than we make at home.

Our waitress was HORRIBLE. She came to our table to take orders, then again to drop the food off... and she never came back until it was time to give us the checks. She also forgot the order of hush puppies my brother and his wife ordered, but at least it wasn't on their bill. She, however, was all over the table next to us, visiting them at least 7-8, maybe more, times. It would have been rude of us to "hey lady" her away from the other table, so we let it be. Another waitress (who was difficult to understand) refilled our glasses that had been sitting empty for at least 10 minutes. We still tipped our waitress, because I refuse to not tip wait staff, however, it was the bare minimum, and she did NOT deserve it.

They had too many wait staff for the crowd, and they all hung out at the front doors or a little room next to the doors and talked, and a small group hung out in the rear next to what I believe was the checkout station.

The decor was decent, not something I care about as long as it isn't dirty. Seemed clean, however, most of the decor was made of pine boards, and the smell of pine lumber is STRONG when first entering. All the pine is NEW and bright... if you want it to look more like a seafood shack (and maybe that's not what you're going for), weather the wood a bit. Customer writings on the walls... a little tacky.

Food was a 3 since it's average and nothing special, our waitress was a 1, decor doesn't weigh in, so averages to a 2.

Will we return? Not likely in the near future, due to the waitress experience. We might give it another shot in a few months once they have time to, hopefully, weed out the bad wait staff. If we end up never going back, it's not that...

This is the first time I have ever given a restaurant a bad review. Rarely have I ever talked to a manager. However, I just spoke with a manager and was told the manager wasn't interested in our concerns. The food WAS good but we will never go again for the following reasons.

1. the service was extremely slow. multiple people came to our table and apologized for the wait. Everyone was nice so we waited patiently. Two different people took our drink orders. Not a big deal. When our order was taken we were told they were out of an item and we would need to substitute. No big deal. 2) When our appetizer finally came it was good but there wasn't any sauce for our calamari because the truck didn't come in. Again, no big deal but could we have some other kind of dipping sauce? We finally got something and it was ok. We got our food and we were excited to experience it and we took pictures. 3) When the bill came it was much higher than expected. There was an error and the bill was reduced and we were given a gift card for our experience. Great! We got a few dollars off but we were never given a copy of the adjusted bill. We were given a $10 gift card to come back. That was very nice but we still were made to feel like we were in the wrong for asking about our bill. 4) When we got home and looked at the pictures we realized we never got our snow crab legs that were part of the order!!!!! 5) Called to talk to management before I placed an online review and was told that the owner said the manager shouldn't have even called me back but the manager did anyway.

In summary great food but...

We arrived at the restaurant. We were greeted nicely and sat down to a table with a strip of paper. We had no silverware or salt & pepper. We ordered. My wife ordered fried oysters and Cajun fries. I ordered the fried shrimp and wanted onion rings for $1 extra. We finally was served. My wife was given a styrofoam plate and plastic forks. For starters my wife's corn was not seasoned her Cajun fries had no Cajun seasoning on them. My small basket of fried shrimp and onion rings looked like something I would get from Sonic Drive-in. The server asked me if I wanted him to replace the onion rings with more onion rings. I told him no because he would bring me more of the same. Onion rings tasted and looked like they were from the freezer. Tasted horrible. The shrimp were very small and were wrapped in a thick layer of breading. When we got our check it had another check added on to ours. We waited a long period of time before the server returned with the corrected check. Food was very disappointing. We will not dine here again in the future.😞 we did give 1 star as the server...
