Very friendly and helpful staff, they got me right where I needed to go, quickly! Some good sales right now, and their impulse buy section near the registers had some cute (and cheap) stuff. Store was clean and well-lit. The main aisles are a bit narrow and make social distancing a bit tricky. I'm very happy with the sales on notebooks/planners/journals. I love this Michael's and will keep coming back. *Update 7/3/22 - looks like a couple more people have been hired and I'm happy to see more product out on the floor. Seasonal items at the front of the store are somewhat sparse depending on what you're looking at, but tons of kid-friendly craft kits/items in several locations for those who need to keep someone(s) busy in this heat! Coupons not so great right now, and the app is having more issues than normal, but still, I'm happy to shop here. Newer pics reflect current, sale, Clearance and seasonal items. * °° New Update 11/28/22 - I went in today (Cyber Monday) to have a look around. Noticed that Halloween & Thanksgiving stuff (decor, crafts, bakeware, etc) was on very steep clearance pricing which was nice, but I'm not sure why this clearance stuff isn't in the actual clearance half-aisle? It's kind of a tight squeeze if there's more than 1 person per rack/gondola in the "seasonal" clearance area (though very well organized and maintained), much easier to pick through things in the half-aisle. Plenty of "rustic/farmhouse" Christmas things to be found up front and splashed around on gondolas in the middle of main thoroughfare aisles. Couldn't find the aisle full of Planners & Accoutrements for some reason, but there's planner stickers in 2 different not-adjacent aisles; I think perhaps some new planograms have been prescribed or someone is trying to incite a riot or panic attack among we Chaos Coordinators 😂. I probably won't get too much stuff this holiday season as I'm neither rustic nor a farm enthusiast, but I'm still gonna shop here instead...
Read moreStore has always been clean and the staff friendly. Depending on your direction of travel, the store may/may not be easily viewed, but the huge red signage makes a difference lol. I've bought yarns, paints, markers, canvas, stickers and kids crafts here and have been happy with my purchases. Was pretty happy with the Halloween clearance section (make sure you go asap if you're doing a clearance shop!). I did a custom frame job almost a decade ago and am still happy with it today. The impulse buy section near the front is pretty good and as I've said, the staff has always been friendly. I've made note of their free/low cost kids' crafting events in store and hope to try one soon! (You can find classes/kid craft events/sale info/coupons either on their website or in the Michael's app.) Never needed the restroom, so I can't comment on that. Aisles are a good size and are usually easily navigable. The parking lot is a good size, however, there aren't any designated handicap accessible spots near the front of the parking area - your best bet is to just park a bit out....
Read moreThe cashier wanted me to pay more than what is printed on the tag because more came up at the register, and that’s ILLEGAL in INDIANA. We kept pointing it out to her and she kept explaining why we saw it wrong!?! Finally she called a manager over, and the first thing she told him was that she didn’t know how to change the original price on the machine. So she’d rather rip customers off than to learn how to do it properly?
The manager did the correct amount without an apology from neither on the disgusting behavior. Because of this do we want to go back? HMMM
2 stars because we were pleased beforehand looking around. Selections are downsized and spread out more. Miss the several price check scanners that have...
