Slim Chickens — Restaurant in Indianapolis

I have eaten here twice and attempted to a 3rd time to no avail. First trip was fine, used the drive through and I was waited on sufficiently. Ordered a wrap and there was hardly any chicken in the wrap. Chicken was dry and tough. Second trip I ordered on the app and picked it up inside. Showed up at the time the app said my food would be available and waited an extra 15 minutes. Was told twice my food would be out shortly. When my food was placed in a to-go sack I watched as a worker took a box of food from the bottom of a stack of other food boxes that had been sitting under the heat lamp since I arrived and handed it to me. My food was ready to go when I arrived, but I was made to wait 15 minutes until they realized it was sitting at the bottom of this stack. Did not receive any sort of apology or discount. The chicken again was dry and tough. The strips are very small and they skimp on the dipping sauce. Third and final attempt I went throught the outer lane of the 2-lane drive through and waited for 15 minutes as car after car (5 cars went through before me that were not there when I pulled up) was waited on in the inner lane of the drive through. The woman at the window came on the speaker twice to me, once as I pulled up and once after she waited on the first of 5 cars before me. No opportunity for me to let her know I hadn't been waited on. Do not waste your money or time here. Especially if you only have 30 minutes for a lunch break. You wont have time to eat your food and the food is not worth it. Very unfortunate that this place is so poorly ran, because I was looking forward to a new lunch spot close to work. No more...

WE JUST TRIED SLIM CHICKENS! Says someone else like it’s “life changing.” It’s, um….not.

This may irritate all you Slim Chickens fans…but I have no idea what y’all are on about. First let me preface that I am by no means a fan of chicken tenders. I’m a dark meat, bone-in guy because that’s where a whole lotta flavor and juiciness comes from. So I didn’t do the tenders or the chicken and waffles, but my wife did and said it was meh. Bland. Oh and they forgot her milkshake, but I digress.

Let’s talk about the bone-in chicken wings. If you’re a chicken place (granted one that focuses on tenders, but ‘chicken’ is literally in the name of the restaurant), you should at least nail the chicken right?

Nope. I got 10 of the saddest, driest, smallest wings I’ve ever seen and the mildest ever mango habanero and inferno sauces on the side to dip them in. And before anyone says “you did delivery,” well it was 25m order to door, so nope not that.

They just flat out can’t do chicken. Not worth the price at all. Definitely not the $19 for 10 wings, those were like what’s on sale on its last day at the dollar store.

The picture shows 7/10 wings. I did get 10 wings, the three missing went in the garbage where these all belonged, they were the saddest. These 7 were the best of what Slim chickens could do with chicken wings…and only about 4 of these were mostly edible. If I’d left the other 3 I’d have ruined chicken entirely for you and turned you vegan.

Even BW’s wings are better, and that’s hard to do. Not worth the money, do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else for wings.

The tenders, eh….thats all...

The women in there are absolutely beautiful 😍 they were so warm and welcoming. Making sure we enjoyed our food. I have a 5 year old autistic son and he’s really particular about his chicken strips. Getting him to eat is STRESSFUL. I was hesitant but we decided to give Slim Chihiaarvbb a try and I’m so thankful that we did. He LOVED his food. Kyrie pays close attention to detail. He uses all of his senses when making a judgment call. Where as most us don’t allow ourselves to fully understand how we are feeling. Using all your senses when making a judgment call about anything keeps us grounded and true to ourselves. So I’m patient with my son when it comes to eating even tho it’s stressful sometimes I respect who he is and he is the one teaching me. So the color, the size, the texture, the smell, the seasoning consistency throughout Kyrie pays attention to. This kid ate his than asked too eat his sisters lol Kyrie’s social skills are not great but the atmosphere the ladies created in there made him feel so open he was jumping all around in his seat having so much fun with his new Darth Vader toy.
