I designed a custom toi et moi ring with Jeff and the experience was so fun and pleasant. I spent a few months trying to accomplish this at a few different big jewelry stores and was told over and over that it couldn’t be done, but Jeff knew exactly what to do! He listened to what aspects of the ring were important to me and he cared about the story behind it. He was the first person who did not try to sell me something out of my budget (he actually came in under budget without sacrificing any sparkle or quality!!) He first sent me scaled sketches to determine sizing/design then we worked on finding diamonds. He never pushed me to choose the diamonds he presented at each appointment and he worked diligently to find the perfect pair for the ring. The ring has a radiant and a pear and it took him a lot of effort to find two diamonds that fit together perfectly AND were the same quality/color/etc. He made a 3D model for me to review and made a prototype to try on to make sure everything was perfect before actually casting it. He kept me informed throughout the process and took pictures along the way so I have a nice little slideshow of my ring being made. I was so discouraged from working with other jewelers when I first reached out to him, but I am so glad I found him! He made my ring a reality and I will use him for everything from now on!!! I felt fantastic about my experience with J. West. I worked with him to design a custom ring for my fiance and it turned out beautifully. Jeff was extremely helpful and really went the extra mile to make sure I (and eventually my fiance) was very happy.

I had pulled a bunch of stuff from my fiance's pinterest and brought it to Jeff. He took those materials and came up with some initial sketches, then we went back and forth a few times tweaking different aspects based on what I thought she would like and what Jeff recommended would make a long lasting design.

Through working with Jeff I was able to add some extra little touches like having him engrave a special symbol that means a lot to my now wife and I. It feels great to have been a part of the creation of something that brings my wife such joy.

I shopped around to a number of jewelry stores in town and I decided to go with Jeff because I wanted something custom, even though I thought it would end up costing a lot. Jeff is incredible. I cannot say enough about how great my experience was! He was recommended to me by another jeweler who claimed that Jeff was the "jeweler's jeweler" of Indianapolis -- the guy that other jewelers use to do things that perhaps they aren't capable of doing. I am in the arts and was really looking for a craftsman as opposed to buying some gutless ring out of a sterile case at some place playing lame classical music. Jeff is an authentic guy with a boatload of skill. Not knowing exactly what I wanted, I described the engagement ring I had in my mind. He took out a pad of paper and a pencil and sketched a few ideas (upside down as I was sitting across from him). That totally blew my mind.
