I’m seeing so many bad reviews, but I assure you that they don’t describe the wonderful people who work there. What I think most people don’t understand is that UPS stores are franchises. They each have different owners who price things and run things differently. These differences should not reflect badly on the employees at any location! So if you ship something one time for $9 and it costs $16 the next time, it’s not the cashier’s fault. They are just the messenger. Secondly, you have to realize that there is quite the upcharge on shipping, mailing, and stamps, as it is not the post office and therefore has a convenience fee. It’s up to you weather you’d rather wait for 3 hours to get some stamps at the post office or come right in and get some at a different location. No one is forcing you to do pay those prices, it’s all up to you where you’d rather go for your own convenience. Lastly, there are times when you’re just going to have to be okay with the fact that UPS store employees are not UPS deliverers. They work in retail, and nothing more. They aren’t FedEx, they aren’t the post office, and they aren’t the ones who don’t get your packages delivered on time. Unless you explicitly shipped something at a particular store’s location, its employees are going to have just as much access to your tracking number and shipment information as you do. They cannot do everything. They are not all-knowing beings in the world of deliveries. Understand that their job is just as tedious and frustrating as your own sometimes, and even though they shouldn’t take out their bad days on customers, they’re dealing with a lot more than it looks like and they are usually very respectful and caring people. I’ve seen the way they treat new shippers, frequent shippers, the elderly, mailbox customers, and even myself. Believe me, they will typically treat you the same way you are...
Read moreYou know when I Goggled UPS store near me, - I saw the very low review score and I thought "no way". So I searched so places further away, -then it hit me, - Remember Amazon reviews, and the volatile society climate that sway people opinions up and down like a rubber ball. I thought if this place is as bad as these reviews say they are, then UPS would either close the store or fire everyone there... I thought I would test myself and this place and see what the real deal was.....So I walked in and let a couple ladies go ahead of me, (cause I needed something notarized, and that can take a bit of time, plus I wanted to see how the crew responded to a growing line of customers) Well long story short these folks that work there are top notch, very pleasant and extremely efficient, especially at one of the busiest shipping days of the year. Since I I retired from the USPS, and know all about shipping and recieving of packages I gotta tell ya I used to cringe at mailing packages and it didnt matter where I went, but I had a great experience at this store and I have never seen a team of employees at a UPS store or USPS, or Fedex work in such a cohesive manner and get the jobs done so quickly, and professionally. I am heading back to that store in a few minutes and if there is simething to change my opiniin, I will update...
Read moreI was told, “if you want to see it taped, go home and tape it yourself”. I had an Amazon bag to return, needed a piece of tape to go across the top to close and secure it. She said, “we will do it later, we are busy”. We all looked behind us and not one person waiting, this was after a gentleman brought a huge box in and we waited 15 min. for this box to be customized. She definitely had a bad day and I guess I looked like the one to take it out on.
To the owner response: the line was already cleared. She went to the back and never came back out, that’s how busy it was. The time she took to tell me off, she could have already given me the tape and avoided a one star review. Very sad as an owner to say it’s ok for this behavior and leave packages unsecured. If your employees do their best, why do you have...
