.White River State Park Parking Garage - A Disappointing Experience My recent visit to the White River State Park parking garage was unfortunately quite negative, significantly impacting our overall experience. We parked on what I believe was the second subterranean level, and from the moment we exited our vehicle, we were hit with a truly awful, pervasive smell throughout the garage. It was so strong it was almost nauseating. Compounding this unpleasant atmosphere was the utterly confusing signage. After parking, we struggled immensely to find clear directions to the elevators, let alone to the museum itself. The lack of proper wayfinding made what should have been a simple transition from car to attraction into a frustrating and time-consuming scavenger hunt. Our attempt to find an exit through what appeared to be a retail store only worsened the situation. Not only was the odd smell even more prominent there, but we were shocked to encounter a dead rabbit, which was both unsettling and incredibly off-putting. This clearly indicates a lack of maintenance and hygiene within the garage and adjacent areas. Overall, the White River State Park parking garage provided a truly worst-case scenario parking experience, marred by strong, unpleasant odors, confusing navigation, and concerning hygiene issues. This facility desperately needs better ventilation, clearer signage, and a thorough cleaning and maintenance overhaul to ensure a more welcoming and safe environment for visitors. It certainly put a damper on our day before we even reached our...
Read moreHere for a weekend concert. Bought premier garage parking. Several workers standing around doing nothing but socializing with each other, after trying to speak with 2 workers to help find a parking spot, the third told me while I was driving down the lower access ramp to turn around. I said zi prepaid my parking, find me a spot. He said get a refund. Poor management, poor work ethic, oversold lot, and they even started parking cars in restricted areas blocking doors!!!! We arrived an hour early and the place was chaos. You are on your own!!!! Only one guy riding around on a bicycle trying to find open spots but no communication system between workers. zero personnel coordination. Fortunately while we and others were literally doing 3 point turns on the ramp, one vehicle departed and we got that spot. This place has no vacant parking spot...
Read moreThe parking itself is decent, but if you need help at all its iffy at best. I have both the state museum and eiteljorg memberships with included parking, if the parking scan goes wrong for any reason you can get 5 different answers trying to get out of the parking garage. Then if your ticket is in the machine when exiting and you have to go back to fix the parking ticket at the museum you then have no ticket to leave again and so your pretty much back to square one hoping someone will help you. To sum it up the horrible customer service at both exit booths really disspointed and makes you feel stuck. I did give it 3 stars still because over the last 2 years its rare that I have had any issues, but when you do have an issues its extremely...
