Before I even came, I called the website number which happened to be the owner himself. Called 'em, and he was super cordial & nice as my main concerns were how the day pass worked and what the hours were. We talked for a bit and he chalked it up to basically saying I didn't have to pay due to being a guest & claimed if I needed any assistance with staff or equipment to just give him a call. Unfortunately I didn't get to meet 'em when I went & there was a bit of a lack of staff. Fortunately, he was able to buzz me in otp and I paid for the day pass, even though there would've been no enforcement had I not. For starters, the gym itself is divied up into 4 sections; the lobby, the cardio room (just past), older circut room (next to cardio), and a black room outfitted with competition plates & bar, chalk bucket, deadlift hoist, squat & DB racks & benches & E-Z curl bars, among other apparatus's which I was very happy about as i'm just seriously getting into powerlifting and the deadlift bar & hoist aided greatly in meeting thise standards directly, along with the comp plates for my squats and benching. Multiple bars with multiple different shafts to fit your lift needs. Outside of the black room, the lobby & circut room are outfitted with many cable machines, some single some double and there's basically all you can think of machine-wise. As somebody who's just down in the states for vacation & needed a small conditioning session, this gym had much more then what I was looking for. On top of it all, it's all got a touch of retro with the wall paint, music played & some of the equipment, like classic iron plates & old-fashion apparatus's. In my opinion, it's a 10/10 as it's got many things my home gym (court jester) doesn't have. Hope this helps you decide on going, because it reall...
Read moreI have been a member of the Inman Health & Fitness for about a month. You will see many positive reviews here, as I did when I was looking for a gym. Before joining, I stopped by and spoke with a patron to guage their experience. I was pleasantly surprised to find a gym with smiling, friendly faces and, especially, a gym that didn't smell like old gym socks. My exchange with the patron of 15 years was informative, easy, and full of praise. On a second trip, I spoke with the owner, Gary Painter. He took time out of an obviously busy schedule to give me and my teenage son a thorough and friendly tour of the facility. His answers to my questions were excellent, and he also explained the upgrades and improvements that are in process.
We joined with a family package so my husband and son could attend as well. My goals are strength training and stretching. I have been working with Gary through a training package to build a program that will achieve my goals while still compensating for old injuries and new challenges. His patience to listen and ask good questions is unparalleled. He is NOT a cookie-cutter trainer. When I've given feedback on an exercise, his response has been thoughtful and customized to help me achieve my goals quicker but safely.
My son is a runner, but I also wanted to add some strengthening exercises. The variety of available equipment is broad, and he has discovered a fondness for boxing that he has added to his routine.
Gary's depth of knowledge and passion for his customers takes exercising, which is necessary to be healthy, and makes it enjoyable. I can say I've never looked forward to working out until joining Inman Health & Fitness. So I can back up all those positive reviews as not only being real but above...
Read moreLet me just start off by saying I am making this review with a throwaway account for anonymity I'm not trying to start pointless drama I come to the gym to work out, with that being said I am a current member and I do absolutely love the new paint/ rearranging equipment. I know that the rule on children under 12 not being allowed in the gym is mainly in place for insurance purposes however it is getting ridiculous there is absolutely no reason 2-6 year olds should be running around the gym with dirty diapers leaving toys in walkways... It is a genuine safety issue along with being absolutely disgusting while you're trying to work out. I am not above documenting and reporting it to the gyms insurance company but I hope that that it will not come to that. Let me be clear if a young kid wants to be there to work out or a parent has a young kid that is not extremely young that just sits in the corner on an ipad so that the parent can work out I see no problem with that but there has to be some kind of accountability... On a much less severe note gym adequate specifically when it comes to cleaning down your equipment after using it is also lacking I am not above shaming somebody but the gym itself has to make sure there is a constant supply of easily accessible paper towels and spray. I will be more than happy to edit this review to 5 stars when/if the policy that is already in place...
