My recent experience there was fantastic, and I can confidently say it’s a place that delivers on flavor, quality, and a welcoming atmosphere. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the Molcajete. This dish is a true masterpiece, served in a traditional volcanic stone bowl and brimming with a delicious combination of grilled chicken, steak, and shrimp. We discovered this place on a road trip returning home to the Ashville area of NC. Being a native Californian who loves authentic tasty Mexican food we noticed that Mexican restaurants in the Carolinas are hit and miss so when we find a really good one, we are going to spread the word. We have been so pleased with this restaurant. The quality of the food is so good! They have a diverse menu, a great salsa bar with many options and their chicken is so moist and flavorful. We recently met up with our adopted daughter who is Hispanic and loves her spicy food and she told us she would drive up from Charlotte in a heartbeat to eat there again. This week my husband needed to be in SC again and made sure he stopped at El Conquistador to pick up a takeout order for our family. Consistent flavor everytime and great service....

I love this place!!! The food is absolutely delicious—seriously, everything we tried was amazing, and the extensive menu has something for everyone. One of my favorite things about this place is the great salsa bar- everything is so fresh and flavorful- I really love trying all the different sauces!! They have an open, wonderful atmosphere and a great bar too! The server was so sweet and friendly which made the whole dine in experience just top notch! With three locations now, I’m especially excited they opened one right here in Inman—Our town hit the jackpot!!
