I am only giving one star because it makes you. I had the worst experience at the popeyes location than I've ever had at any restaurant EVER. It has been a week, I am writing this review late because I have been very busy with moving into the area and with the holidays.
But I have never had such an awful experience at any restaurant like I had here. I love popeyes chicken, I buy it pretty often once a week or once every two weeks. But I will be going out of my way. 1st of all. I ordered on the app, the app gives you an option for in store pick up or to go through the drive thru. So order ahead of time like I usually do on the app and pick the instore pick up, my order was supposed to be ready at 3pm. I got there 5 minutes later because I recently had an infant and getting anywhere on time is a challenge. I go inside the store, mind you the app said I could go inside, I didn't see any sign warning me "drive thru only" or "inside closed" PLUS the store door wasn't locked! So I went inside as if this was a normal pick up. I was RUDELY greeted with " Why are you in the store, no one is allowed in the store" so I apologized and told them the app said i could pick up my order inside and it was an accident. (Even though I already paid was inside and they could of just handed my order to me because it should of been ready anyways) the male worker said "it doesn't matter, you have to got through the drive thru and the app was wrong" I was instantly upset because I ordered ahead of time, and it was starting to get busy. There wasn't a line when I went inside the store but now there was a lonnnnggggggg lunch line by the time he told me I had to get back in line in the drive thru line. BUT I did it no questions asked.
So 2ndly, I wait in the drive thru line for 30 minutes I KID YOU NOT. it was the SLOWEST service I have ever had at any fast food restaurant and any popeyes I've ever been to. By the time I got to the speaker box, I explained that I was just in the store accidentally and I had already ordered on the app. The lady on the headset told me to pass the cars and park by the window. So that's what I did. At the time it didn't look wrong because they had another car pulled up....but then an additional 15 minutes passed. I continue to look to see where my order was, and I instantly knew something was wrong because the workers at the window kept making mean faces at me and looking at me like they were confused why I was parked beside the line by the window.
The same rude worker knocked on my window and verbatim he said " ma'am is there a reason why you're parked in the middle of no where?" As rude as you could imagine him saying that.
This was totally unacceptable. Already peeved by the whole situation I scolded the worker.
I said " 1st of all I will not tolerate you talking to me like that ANYMORE, 2ndly again the app told to do A, but you told me to do B, 3rd the lady on the headset TOLD ME to move forward, and 4th I should of had my order by now it's been over an HOUR of a wait."
The male employee instantly got defensive on how the app was wrong and how "he had a bad day" which i understand stressful days because I am a surgical technician in the Army BUT more than once he was rude and short and acted like I was unintelligent because YOUR app is not accurate and by THEIR mistakes.
Then he told me I had to go back through the drive thru line AGAIN, even though they told me to pull forward AND I had already been inside the store.
I told him " NO, I am going to park in that parking spot over there and you're going to walk my food over to me because I have been waiting for over an hour" then I parked in the parking spot because he could talk back to me.
By his attitude I would not be surprised his he spit in our or other customers food. I would like a refund for my money because of the awful experience and COLD sloppy food that was given to me.
Again I will never order from this location, it saddened me because popeyes is my favorite go to for a cheat treat. Simply disgusting how this location...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars I would. I came in the drive-through Today and my experience was HORRIBLE. It seems as if she was rushing me to order by continuously talking and not allowing me to place my order on my own, as I had two orders. Once I got to my order, which was the 1/4 of popcorn shrimp I told her I wanted sweet heat sauce, she proceeds to tell me that she already chose the sauce for the 12 piece wing that I placed. I told her that dipping sauce is for my shrimp, she then proceeds to tell me that it comes with cocktail sauce. She can’t give me any other sauce because no other sauce goes with the popcorn shrimp aside from the cocktail sauce. After informing her that this is an order that I placed for years I’ve never had any issues with getting that same sauce as I do not eat cocktail sauce, and she proceeds to be very combative and nasty at this point it begin to be too much. I told her not to worry about it she proceeded to still be her rude self at this point I pulled up to the window to ask for her name when I got to the window she was again still very nasty. Gave me her name. Stated “Yes, I’m the general manager” and I let her know that that she’s very unprofessional and that was very rude to begin with. As a paying customer when I ask for something it’s expected to be exactly how I asked for it! She still wanted to argue with me and be very combative disrespectful to the point where her and I got into an argument. I let her know that I would be reaching out to corporate as I was driving off she yelled out the window “Oh, I see you’re very ignorant” this is not an example of customer service! Something really should be done regarding this matter, especially when you have other workers that are in the facility tasteless behavior. As a manger you Lead by example in which she definitely DID NOT display. I am waiting on a call from corporate because this was...
Read moreMy husband loves Popeye's and was so excited to find one close to our new home. Our experience today, however, destroyed that excitement. We don't blame the employees, in fact it is very evident they haven't been given the necessary tools to perform their jobs properly or efficiently. Overall the food we were able to eat was okay, most of the order was wrong and we ended up being charged for a meal that we did not order. The bag was loaded wrong, half of it fell out onto the floor of our car which again tells me, there isn't a cohesive system in place for employees to know what they're doing. After nearly a 40 minute wait in the drive-thru because of the claim Popeye's Chicken sandwich is better than Chick-fil-A's, we can say without hesitation, it will never come close. Not in food, not in service, not in their drive-thru experience, there is absolutely nothing that can possibly compare to the Pristine Oiled Machine Chick-fil-A has built themselves into. We obviously will not be returning to this Popeye's and if you're looking for quality, fantastic customer service, a quick delicious meal? The Bojangles on Broad River Road is the BEST...
