9-26-24 before the storm fyi!! I had the worst service I’ve ever had in my life I sat in a drive-through for a total of 45 minutes got to the front while all the employees including the manager was staring at me. I had four people take my order probably about 10 to 15 minutes in between each time of them taking my order, there was a total of seven cars behind me around me because they had already received their food the last girl who came to take my order I said hey I don’t mind you taking my order, but I want it to be clear that at this point I’m not paying for my food. I’ve been sitting here for 45 minutes trying to stay calm as I can the girl was very nice and understood where I was coming from while her coworkers were all yelling at her at her and talking about how they were calling out the next day. The manager came out there asking me what was wrong. I told him what was wrong and his exact words was “so you won’t food for the free” I informed him I was not trying to just get food for free. I had my eight-year-old in the back whining that she was hungry while we sat in line for 45 minutes and I felt that I shouldn’t have to pay for my food at that point considering everything that I had happened I told him not to worry about it. I would just leave. He then ran me down to tell me, his manager said it was OK but only for one wheel and of course I said well I ordered a meal for myself and a kids meal for my child. I’m more concerned about my child eating so just give me the kids meal he then tells me it’s not for a kids meal. It’s just one meal and it doesn’t include a drink so I’ll tell him not to worry about it. I’m leaving and he sucks his teeth and sighs and said just wait and goes and gets some food quickly that wasn’t even what we ordered and wasn’t something. My child would eat because they all had pickles mustard on them so we ended up not even eating the food. This was my first time at this establishment and sadly my last. I do understand that they are newly opened and I do hope that they find better staff and a better way of running things because if this is how it will be ran, I don’t see it...
Read moreAs a person who has never been to a What-A-Burger before, I found the experience here to be just "ok". Quick points...
Value: You get more then McDonald's will give you for the money. Not a whole lot more, but definitely more. This is the biggest positive.
Quality: The burger was decent. Roughly McDonald's quality but bigger. The fries didn't taste that much different from McDonald's. Saltier, but didn't taste very fresh. The Vanilla milkshake tastes like frozen yogurt in a cup (so totally up to you if you like that), the straw is not wide enough though to drink it comfortably as it gets stuck just like at Wendy's. The grilled cheese though was definitely a sore point for me. It looks (and tastes) like a cheese paste between 2 very oily piece of bread. (See picture). Not a fan, didn't even finish it.
Service: This location appears to have just opened. Lots of training going on so obvious excusable hiccups. Totally fine assuming it gets better with time. They got our order right, but it was a tad slow. Biggest issue was the inside was the dining area was not super clean when I walked in. They where mid cleaning when I walked in, whatever they use to clean makes the floors very slippery.
Atmosphere: It's average. Feels a little cramped, the seats on the booths feel far away giving you a feeling like you have to hunch down. But the tables at the booths are also narrow, so your feet feel cramped and it's easy to step on the feet of the person across from you. This feels like a design issue. Both the Chick-fil-A and the McDonald's 3 minutes from here do this much better, with a higher volume of customers. It was crowded when I came, so it was kind of loud, as they play music even louder then the ambient noise (my own personal opinion).
Overall: It's ok. It's not terrible, but it's not great. Personally feels lackluster to me and there is not enough difference between this and a McDonald's in terms of food, and the atmosphere feels exactly like a Taco Bell (cramped, loud, uncomfortable). So my review is I don't love it, but it's not much different then other run of the...
Read moreI went through the drive thru yesterday and ordered a three piece tender meal with gravy and an extra tender. Cost a little over $12. They hand me food and i drive to my destination. Only to find out my FF are missing. No big deal, i call the store. I talk to a nice young lady whom recognizes whom i am right away. She says her manager realized as i pulled away they forgot my fries. So i ask if i can just come tomorrow? i didn’t want to drive back right then. She says yes and that when i come in they will just replace the meal. I say thanks, she takes my full name and says she will make a note and give to the manager. Fast forward to today and i go back. There is no record of my name for a manager left by an employee. In fact the manager comes out and interrogated me for like ten minutes. I paid for a full meal and he did not want to replace the full meal. I let them know i didn’t even care, but it was what THEY, YOU, Whataburger would do when i came back. So they mess up my order and then mess up again by forgetting to forward message to manager for the next day. They still owe me money because of original screwup and i shouldn’t have to beg for an $10 meal that they messed up. Stay away from this location, not the first problem i’ve had at this location. Drive further to Lexington, if you want...
