Bored Bard Games — Local services in Iron Mountain

I go up north for vacation every year with my brother. We found the shop going to a flea market in Iron Mountain. We bought a booster box of "Outlaws of Thunder Junction" . We split the packs up and did a sealed 1v1 to kill some time. Everyone was positive and professional. They had at least 10 people playing card games inside the store when we came in. ( Surprising to see in a smaller town) .

The next day we came in to buy lands ( since we didn't bring up any MTG cards when we came up.) We bought 28 lands per color . The guy behind the counter counted them out for us. 5 cents each ( was a very good deal) , not only that, they gave us a mixture of older land cards. I think we had a basic land card as far back as 3rd edition . I was super happy too see that.

Next year we are going to contact you guys to make sure you have 2 booster for each set in standard, so we can each get 3 boxes. We don't play often anymore, but when we do play we enjoy the full experience of what's currently happening with MTG. "Outlaws of Thunder Junction" for us was a surprisingly fun set. I think we played around 40 games within 3 days. All possible because of "Bored Bard Games"

Honestly deserve more than 5 stars. Erik the owner is the most honest down to earth human you'll ever meet. He lights up the stores atmosphere and in a way the store is an extension of himself and the community built around it.

I remember my first time going in to play magic the gathering in about 3 years. Erik greeted me and sat me down with a table of new and returning players. The community there is so welcoming and friendly.

I love the supplies and merchandise provided but what really made this store 5 stars ware Eric. From day 1 he made us feel so welcomed and well informed. We’ve been to other magic/game stores where we felt our lack of knowledge wasn’t appreciated but Eric made us feel like he was excited to tell us new things and invite us to events! We won’t be back for a while unfortunately but Eric, I hope you are reading this and know you gave us a one of a kind...
