I have been going to Crossfit Brit since December and can say that I could not be happier with my decision to join up! Coach Sham runs a great gym and his programming is awesome! Before joining Brit I had done crossfit before at a couple other gyms, and I liked both of them, but in hindsight, they lacked the type of programming and coaching that I needed to progress. Since joining Brit I have been able to achieve more than I thought possible in the relatively short period of time. I finally got double unders, have improved my form on all my Olympic lifts, can now do a handstand push-up and I am even able to do a muscle up! All thanks to Sham and Crossfit Brit and his programming and the attention that he gives to the members.
The other members are great as well! It is an awesome community that helps support you and keeps you wanting to come to the classes. Usually I am fairly inconsistent with my working out, I'll do it for a few months, and then stop for a few months and go through this yo-yo of being in shape and focused, and being out of shape and on my couch. This is currently my 7th month at Crossfit Brit, which is a personal record for me for consecutive months staying active. Sham is incredibly knowledgeable and always takes the time to ensure youâre using the correct exercise variation, the proper weight, and maintaining good form, whether you're a beginner or experienced. The workouts are challenging, varied, and always leave me feeling stronger and more accomplished. The atmosphere is both energizing and motivating, and Sham's sense of humor makes even the toughest workouts feel more enjoyable. It's impossible not to push yourself!    Read moreI love going to Crossfit Brit. The workouts are always challenging but never to a point where I canât finish, even when I think I canât. Sham, the owner/trainer, pushes everyone to do their best. You arenât allowed to slack off or sit in cruise control for the workout. Even though it can be tough, the end of each workout feels like a small victory. And if Iâm doing something wrong, a quick and simple correction gets me back to the proper technique.
Itâs like the anti-gym. The focus is on personal achievement, not trying to show off and one-up each other. This is probably true of most Crossfit gyms in general. The people here are great, especially if you go during the same time slot everyday. It feels like a little community.
