I've tried it all - diets, intermittent fasting, endless cardio, and so on. I've felt so defeated every time I didn't shed the weight off and I told myself that the very last thing I wanted to try before "giving up" on weight loss was personal training.
The very first time that I called in, Danny was prompt in replying all of my questions and I set up a personal training session with him later that week! Danny is professional, kind, informative, and helpful - he's also extremely quick to respond. I'm definitely a big question asker so anything that I asked regarding technique, equipment, stretching, or mobility, he definitely had the answers for.
NOTHING has shown me progress as fast and efficient as personal training did and it's all thanks to Danny! After a few months of personal training with Danny, I used my bluetooth scale at home and it showed me the HIGHEST muscle mass that I've ever reached in my entire lifetime. I was shocked because I never thought I could increase my muscle mass in such a quick amount of time and I owe it all to personal training. Additionally, I wanted to add that before personal training, I lacked confidence at the gym because I was scared of using the equipment wrong or having incorrect form while working out. With personal training, I was able to learn how to use the equipment confidently and knew exactly which exercises I wanted to complete, which helped boost my confidence whenever I hit the gym.
If you're hesitant on personal training, I highly suggest giving it a try! It's better to try than not at all. I was hesitant on hopping on the personal training bandwagon for many years, but I'm so glad that I did. I decided I needed more specialized attention with someone who is more aware of my capabilities and current limitations. I did some research and decided to go with Danny from OC Life Fitness due to all the rave reviews. I specifically picked Danny because I had never consistently worked out before so it was important that my trainer didn't make me feel discouraged or I knew I'd probably quit. Danny was easy-going but he also gently pushed me to strive for more - this was exactly what I needed. He assessed me carefully during the first few classes to ensure he wasn't overdoing it and then eventually increased the intensity. I was able to learn proper forms and techniques and he also educated me on what I should be eating. What I really appreciated was that he never made me feel badly about eating poorly or failing to do better than I previously did. He would just tell me why he believed I wasn't seeing certain results when I relayed my concerns and would give me suggestions and try to motivate me. This was the only time in my life I consistently worked out and began to feel better about my lifestyle and health. Unfortunately, I had to stop once I became pregnant and have not been able to find the time to return to his classes, but I had planned on doing so once the baby got a little older. Read moreDanny kicks my butt every time. He’s knows how to do a very well rounded work out packed into an hour. He’s so good at his training that I wake up with fear every day I have an appointment with him, but I overcome my fear every time because I am seeing RESULTS!! Keep in mind, I only schedule him once a week for one hour, and then then rest of the week I don’t work out at all(sorry Danny I’m trying to change I swear) and yet somehow, my body is fitter than ever. My biceps are biceps-ing!!! I also have a bad right hip which limits some* of my work outs, but it rarely flares up and causes an issue. If it does cause an issue, Danny finds a solution/different work out that compensates it. He pushes you, but not too much where you’d hate working out and never want to go again. It’s a very packed hour of fitness. You might be wondering, why Danny? Why not the other trainer? Well, if you’re introverted and hate conversation, you will do great with him. Danny’s memory is like a goldfish. He will ask you the same questions about tv shows or life. All you really have to do is remember the same answers and you’ll never have to have conversational anxiety when working out. Awkward small talk is out the window.
