After living at the Murphy apartments for a year during this pandemic, my fiancé and I must share our sour experiences to avoid others from making our mistake. At first this place offered the newness and large living spaces we needed combined with peace and quiet until the harsh realities of management's inability to properly manage this complex legitimately for the better of tenants. In the course of a year, we realized EV charging stations that were promised were never installed, thus we had no charge our Tesla elsewhere, which is extremely inconvenient. Moreover, management illegally Airbnbs over 10 apartment units throughout the complex, so we constantly dealt with noise issues from short term leasers upstairs and dealing with random people constantly roaming our halls. On top of that I was followed to my car by an armed car burglar on my way to work in the morning in the parking structure. On that note, we also dealt with homeless people living in our parking structure in tents for months. Peace was never obtained with all these safety issues in the past 14 months. We continued to remain optimistic, but things got progressively worse as we noticed the lack of customer service with leasing staff and their high turn over rates. Austin and Melody were kind leasing staff members who really did care for tenants, but quit because this place is terrible to live and work apparently. As if all the above mentioned was not enough to sour our living experience further, we just got our "renewal offer" that increased by $1,000 a month to reside in the same unit. We are already paying $2,950 a month and they want $3,900 a month to renew?! THAT IS WILD and an unmerited rent increase for tenants who have always paid rent on time and have been put through so much in the last year. We're still in a pandemic and we're being pushed out!!! Do NOT move here, they'll lure you in and spring the same rent hikes on you to keep up with their Airbnb scam pricing. It's happening to all existing tenants, endless moving trucks in the last weeks / month. MOVE...
