UPDATE from 1 star to 4 stars: Our issue was resolved. One of the new property managers reached out via phone in response to my most recent email. A few days later, I received a call and email from the same property manager saying that a check was in the mail with our refund.
Our experience is likely unique to us, however I wanted to share just so others are aware.
We applied for an apartment, paid our fees, and submitted our paperwork. Four days later, we hadn't heard anything and their portal was down so I reach out via phone and email.
Six days go by. Our intended move-in would have been three days from that point. My phone calls went to a voicemail system which I never got responses from. So, I send another email asking to withdraw our application because we never received any communication from Alton Heartwood after we paid our application fees and submitted everything. We had no information from them.
Then eight days later (13 days after our initial application/ 5 days after our intended move-in date) I get an email that a utility account was created for us. Mind you, I still hadn't heard from the leasing office. So I send another email...
Two days later I follow up. The portal doesn't recognize my login. I notice that the management company on their website is now different. So I do some digging and learn that Alton Heartwood changed management/ ownership. The original email address was now being returned as undeliverable. More digging reveals a generic email address for the new management company so I include that on the next email I send.
I finally get a call from them 5 days after that (20 days from applying). The leasing agent that called was nice. She said that a check would be mailed for the full amount refunding us and apologized for the problems we had. Cool, I thought.
I'm posting this review 74 days after we applied/ 55 days after that phone call. I'm still waiting for our refund. I'm waiting for a response to another follow up email I sent.
Like I said, this is probably a very unique situation in that we fell through the cracks as they switched management. But it is still a reflection on the organization of the leasing team and management company.
Should you live here? I don't know. The unit and community looked nice though. I've just been waiting over 2 months for...
Read moreWhere do I begin? From the moment my wife and I stepped into Alton Heartwoods, we knew we had found more than just an apartment; I had discovered a true home.
First and foremost, I have to commend the exceptional staff, particularly Saul, our property manager. His dedication to ensuring every resident's experience is nothing short of outstanding is truly commendable. Whether it's a maintenance request or a simple question, Saul and his team are always quick to respond with a smile, making every interaction a delight.
The neighborhood itself is a tranquil oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of city life. It's not just safe; it's a haven of peace and serenity. Walking through the beautifully landscaped grounds feels like stepping into a picture-perfect postcard.
Now, about amenities - wow! The pool is a refreshing escape on hot summer days, while the ping pong tables provide endless hours of friendly competition. And they have two recreational lounges - They're perfect for unwinding after a long day or hosting gatherings with friends and neighbors. Oh, and the two open fire pits - they're the ideal spot for cozy evenings under the stars with amazing views.
But what truly sets Alton Heartwoods apart are the exclusive apartment activities. From the festive Christmas door decorating contest to the romantic Valentine's Day themes, there's always something fun happening.
Alton Heartwoods isn't just a place to live; it's a lifestyle. From the attentive staff to the idyllic neighborhood and unbeatable amenities, this is a community where you'll feel truly at home. I couldn't recommend it more highly.
Feel free to adjust or add any details to better reflect...
Read moreMy living experience at these apartments was horrible. We moved in near December of 2022 and recently moved out in a rush due to the horrible treatment and conditions of the facility. To start off, for a three bedroom $4,200+ $125 per parking a month that advertises itself as a “luxurious living community” we were shocked to see dog fecal matter in front of our doors as well as dog urine in the elevators as well. The stench of such reeked throughout the elevator as well as the hallways. Paying almost $450 in utilities we were walked to our apartment and be met by dog excretion right on our footsteps Again, they advertise themselves as a “smoke free environment” while the entire time my family was living we would experience the harsh smell of cigarettes every night and despite our complaints nothing was done to mitigate or remove the smoking. My experience with the new management was horrible, my minor daughter got recorded by one of the neighbors in her room from the street side. The neighbors had gone out of their way to record a video of my minor daughter in her bedroom .many times our privacy was invaded by neighbors who video taped us in our own supposed “home” .The management make it seem more like a prison than an...
