I've been to this location many times, so I've gotten a chance to try a lot of things on the menu - especially the noodles. I've had the Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, and Pad Khi Mao each several times. My favorite of those is the one I got this time - the Pad Khi Mao I've found that this place does Pad Khi Mao very well. The combination of the sweet sauce and soy sauce works really well to coat all of the noodles and impart that flavor to all of them I asked for extra tofu, and they certainly gave a lot of it with my order. This type of fried tofu is more shallow-fried than deep-fried, as there's no batter on the outside and it's cooked with light amounts of oil instead, but I did think it was pretty soft for the most part - even though I prefer the type with the brown exterior rather than the white one The egg is a fantastic addition to this dish, and it's present throughout. I thought the vegetables were also great in here as well. My favorite part every time I get the Pad Khi Mao here is the wide rice noodle. It's just the perfect texture - it functions as many pieces of a thin blanket that tastes good both on its own and as a vessel to convey either the egg or tofu. The noodle just feels so smooth and goes down so easily with each bite What disappointed me this time, compared to other times, though, was the spice level. I asked for four stars, which should be pretty spicy. However, what I got resembled a one or two star spice level. There was just absolutely no spice at all in here. I'm not sure what happened here, because in the past I've asked for four stars and it's been a lot better. I guess they're just inconsistent I also got the Bangkok Soda this time - it was fine, not much to say about that For the price of around $20, the portion size is pretty decent, and one plate of noodles is more than enough for a person Overall, I found this to still be pretty good, and definitely will come back here, although I've had much better in the past. 8.25/10

For anyone in or around Issaquah, Bai Tong Thai Restaurant offers an exceptional dining experience that highlights the authentic flavors of Thailand with an emphasis on quality and presentation. Located at 630 5th Ave NW, this charming gem delivers a remarkable fusion of rich traditional dishes and modern culinary finesse. The restaurant itself boasts a warm, welcoming ambiance with contemporary decor that feels both relaxed and upscale. The service is attentive and knowledgeable, ensuring that every guest feels valued from the moment they walk in. Staff members are happy to offer recommendations and answer any questions about the menu, which is a nice touch for those new to Thai cuisine. The food at Bai Tong Thai is truly outstanding. Whether you’re a long-time Thai food enthusiast or a newcomer, each dish is crafted with care and attention to detail. The Pad Thai is a must-try — perfectly balanced with savory, sweet, and tangy flavors, and the noodles cooked to perfection. The Green Curry is another standout, rich and creamy with a delightful balance of heat and depth. The Thai Spring Rolls are crispy, fresh, and full of flavor, while the Tom Kha Gai Soup (coconut milk-based chicken soup) is the perfect comfort dish, aromatic and soothing. The restaurant also offers a variety of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, making it accessible to a wide range of dietary preferences. Each dish is made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and the presentation is always impressive. Whether you're dining for lunch, a cozy dinner, or celebrating a special occasion, Bai Tong Thai Restaurant provides a consistently excellent experience. The combination of exceptional food, outstanding service, and inviting atmosphere makes it a top choice for those craving authentic Thai cuisine in Issaquah.

Two things I have learned when eating Thai food in America before even tasting the food: if there is a picture of King Buhimbol when you walk in and if there are spoons and forks on the table with no chopsticks in sight, you're in for a true Thai experience. With carefully thought out ambience and decor, they bring an experience that primes the customer for authentic eating. Having traveled to Thailand a few times, American Thai food sometimes suffers from bad habits eeked out by Thai food pioneers in America. Not here though. The phad Thai has no ketchup at all and my Thai Basil Chicken was with ground chicken and was as flavorful as I remember from my last visit to Thailand. While perhaps a little pricey, Bai Tong there is no Thai restaurant I've eaten on this side of the Pacific I would rather go to. My only lament on my 5 star rating is that I can't give more than 5 stars.

I don't understand service people! Rudeness=NEVER coming back. The food and the drinks were absolutely wonderful and I wish I could give five stars... But this rating clearly has to do with the customer service we received from the manager Marie

We went with some friends last night for dinner to have a great evening. Our friends have a little four-year-old boy. We were seated at a great table that had tons of pillows, and my friends were actually sitting on the side with the cushion. Now let me first go on to say, four year-old have energy, they laugh, sometimes they rambunctious! with my friends little boy did have lotta energy, but he also had his iPad.

Our server was absolutely wonderful. Took our drink and appetizer and we were sitting there laughing having fun with our friends. Our friends four year old decided that he actually wanted to go to the table and walks on the cushions over to that other table and sit with the pillows. The Marie went over and SCOLDED my friends four year old, and here's where I have the big problem... She had also said that she felt a little boy shoes were dirty and didn't want them dirty up the cushions. First of all if she had a problem, she needed to talk TO THE PARENTS not the four year old... That was not her place and had that been my child. I would've had words with her!! My friends pulled the little boy back and then we heard Marie say to a server "please clean the cushion from his shoes". . my friends little boys shoes were not dirty and made no mark on cushion... So that was strike number 1.

We were sitting at our table eating our appetizers and drinking our drinks and Marie came over and said to us are " are you guys done with this table? We need the table". . We all looked at her & my friends wife said "what are you talking about". . I looked at her I said " ma'am we've been here 30 minutes and we haven't even had our dinner.". She looked dumbfounded and said " oh you haven't had your dinner... ??? ". She walks away and then comes back and says " oh I'm so sorry. I mistook you with another table". By then my fiancé was done and turned to me and said "we are never coming here again because of the service we just received from her".

Marie then came over to us later and said " I want to apologize. I didn't mean to offend you... ". Her tone did not sound sincere. and at one point my fiancé just said "thank you we're good... ". He didn't accept her apology he felt it was half ass and fake.

we paid the bill and left after about an hour and a half there. We actually wanted to stay a little bit longer and we're planning on ordering dessert, but in no way where we going to give more money to that business.

MARIE you need to do better. If you want to learn how to be a great manager and a server you need to go to Dukes in Bellevue and talk to Wendy, she is absolutely incredible and she knows the right way to take care of customers, so they will come back and patronize your establishment again!

At this point, we have absolutely no future plans are returning to Bai Tong... Tons of other great Thai restaurants that we can givr...

I let it slide as much as I can because I know people make mistakes. It's been constant issues one after another and it has come to a point when enough is enough. I never write bad reviews but for the first time I decided to. First off, they can't make the fried rice right, never eat fried rice from here it's tasteless. Also they will give you very small portions on shrimp if you order anything with shrimp. Their curry taste like full of msg, I don't know for sure but I order two times and both times I was extremely thirsty no matter how much water I drink. I thought maybe it just me, so after the first try I give it the second shot but no it's their curry. That is if you eat there or order for pick up and get your order. Mostly you won't get what you order. One time, we order for pick up and according to them, the other person before us took part of our order, they can't remake it for us because their kitchen already close. They didn't say sorry, don't even offer refund. We have to went back to ask for the refund because their website charged us already for the pick up order but they didn't give us the food. Oh If you order through delivery service, there is another problem, they either forgot something or straight up don't receive the order and left with no food after a long wait. Then get a refund that I will receive in 3 to 7 days later. What a joke. They always forget to give me the drinks when I ordered through door dash. Always missing something. One time I didn't receive the whole order. Of course I will get refunded in 5 days later, just don't eat anything for now. It's not one time or two time, it's four times at the very least. We make sure to put in notes to say please don't forget the drinks, because they always do, and they didn't give us the item with the note. Are they doing it on purpose? They said the dasher didn't know there are drinks that haven't make. Well then let them know, it's their responsibility to make sure to give the order that people pay for. When called to ask, they act like we are the stupid ones, because apparently they are just being so nice and didn't make the drink on purpose before the dasher come because they worry it will melt. I ordered the drink without ice. I want to know what is going to melt? The drink that is already liquid? Another thing is, if you are waiting until the dasher come to make the drink then why not let the dasher know when he/she come to pick it up? "Dasher just pick up without us knowing, some dasher don't even speak English," that's what they said. So is that mean anyone can just go in and pick up free food paid for by others? Nice Charity. This is not a way to treat your customer that support your business even with the mistakes you keep making. This is not how you do business. Enough is enough. I will take my business somewhere else. I suggest someone who has faced similar situations to save the headache and try Similian Thai cuisine, Khao San Thai cuisine, Noodle boat Thai, Thai eatery, Sno Thai and many other Thai places...
