The only true Hawaiian poke in Washington & best restaurant in Sammamish/Issaquah area for us!! A small business, not a chain, and a total hidden gem. They’ve never disappointed; bowls are always good and consistent. My partner and I are regulars here and the fish is always super fresh, never smells fishy; so is everything else that goes in the bowl. They rely on quality fish rather than on all the bells and whistles of toppings & heavy sauces and such to cover up lower quality, less fresh fish, which I find lots of other poke chains around the area like Hello Poke & Just Poke do. Also love the larger fish chunks because you can totally savor & taste the quality of the fish, as well as the rectangular container because then your rice isn’t drenched & soggy with heavy sauces. If you go to Hawaii, you’ll also find bowls that are filled with fish cut this size, and one of the most famous Hawaii poke spots (Maguro Brothers) also favor a rectangular bowl, so I don’t know what people are complaining about… Sauces & toppings are all very well-thought out, varied, and full of flavor. We’ve been coming here every week...

We shared a vegetarian bowl so I can't say anything about the quality of the fish, but our food was delicious. No fishy smell in house, always a good sign of fresh fish. There are plenty of vegetarian and vegan toppings (we had a half rice/half mixed green bowl with cucumber, avocado, tofu, crispy onions, and cilantro). Lots of varied sauce types are available, both savory and sweet, vinagrettes and aiolis. Everything was fresh, the veggies were cool and crisp, and the tofu and rice were hot and delicious. They also have lots of drinks and miso soup. For two of us adults, we shared a regular size bowl and it was plenty for both of us. We're coming...
Read moreThis was the second time we ate at Poke Highlands. The first time we enjoyed our meal and felt like it was good value for the money. This time we pretty much felt like we were robbed. Nickelled and dimed for everything without being told, the portions were much smaller, and they added some sauce at the end which none of us wanted. It was $100 for 2 adults and 2 kids to eat there (no drinks). We won’t ever go there again. Too much money for what we got and this time our youngest didn’t even eat his because of the random sauce they put on without asking. It was a weird vibe for sure. We normally go to the poke place near REI and have had zero issues. This place impressed us enough to return but something has very much changed. I don’t like to hurt a business but this place doesn’t...
