Made appointment for a partial highlight was given $100 dollar quote. I go in get the treatment and go to pay the bill and the bill had two additional charges on it for an additional $50. I was not asked if I wanted an additional pH balancer or a overall clear coat! Basics in beauty 101--never upcharge a customer without their consent! I never agreed to those additions nor did I even know I was getting them. Maybe I didn't and I am just being over-charged! Imagine if I only had $100! Then as the week progressed my hair starts snapping and falling out! I have literally lost 1/8 of my hair because it is soooooooo fried! I am wondering if they were trying to hide the fact that they melted off my hair with all the other additions! A month later I had to take thinning sheers to the fried parts just to try and keep the melted snapping pieces from ruling! And this wasn't the first time I had a problem either. I went in for my last appointment which was scheduled 2 days before I was supposed to attend a wedding. I got a call that there was a sickness and my stylist wasn't able to do the job but that they had someone else that could do it at 2. Show up to my appointment at 2 and they tell me that they don't have time to take care of me. Mind you I made this appointment 3 weeks in advance for this wedding! 2pm and my hair can't be done with 1 day left before the wedding. We called 6 salons locally to try and find a place. I was in tears. Finally found a stylist but it cost me an additional $150 more than I planned to spend. Nor was this the 2nd problem. The first time I tried to go I asked for 3" taken off my length. Mind you, my hair is waist length. I said 3"! She took of about 6"-8" all the way back to just below my shoulders! I asked for layers and got 0. I am in my fourties and have a fricken bob for a hair cut. Are you kidding me? It has taken me 2 years to grow this out to a normal length then they fry it and melt it off again. I gave you guys 3 chances to get it right!...
Read moreI usually don’t write reviews after THIS many trips in to one store, but after tonight, I feel like I had to. The Issaquah Highlands Ulta has THE BEST customer service. Tonight I was in the store and my first search was for some thing to help me with my “maskne” 🙄 Yes, I’m 38, haven’t had acne in years and now wearing mask every day I’m breaking out like a teenager. I really wish everyone would wear name tags and I honestly should have asked their names because now I feel bad not having their name in this review… but the first lovely Ulta member that helped me, walked me through lots of different options for acne washes and not only that but also asked me about all of my current products and come to find out two of the products that I was using on a consistent daily basis were part of the reason my skin was drying out as bad as it was. And previously I was thinking that was a good thing to dry out the acne. But wahhhhlahh, learned something new. I ended up getting the juicy organic serum. After that I went around in my mask trying to smell all of the perfumes because I am a long time Escada moon sparkle person and that has been forever discontinued to my knowledge. I found a pack of all these little mini samples that I considered buying and the second lovely Ulta member that helped me, said “ well instead of buying that let’s just set all of these up and let you smell them all“… she literally went around and probably smelled over 20 perfumes with me. I ended up buying a coach one and an Ariana grande holiday set. I just love this place. Great people. Great products. They take all of my money, 🤣 but it’s well worth it. Read moreI am SO happy I came here. Kylie is an angel sent from heaven. I am intimidated by makeup and needed help finding all the right products for me, I usually don’t ask employees for help but I’m so glad I did. Kylie took the time to help me figure out the best products that will work for ME and answered my million questions all while being so patient and kind. She genuinely wanted to help me and I didn’t feel like she was trying to sell me random, useless, expensive things like other places. The products I got were EVERYTHING I’ve been needing all along and I never would’ve found them like I desperately needed like I did at this ulta if it weren’t for her. Not only did Kylie save my makeup life all the employees were very nice and helpful. The manager was very nice and even complimented my makeup! The woman ringing me up helped me get the best deal possible, and all the other employees were happy to help me even if they were already doing something. This store was very stocked, clean, and organized too. I don’t live close to this store but I will be making special trips to this specific one whenever I need to go to ulta. THIS ULTA ROCKS!
