1. I hand make ceramic bowls. While traveling home to Ohio, I made 54 bowls and went to the local pottery store, COFFEE BREAK POTTERY paying them to be fired. 2. My parents went to pick up the bowls to ship them to me to paint. The owner of the pottery store stated she would paint them for $2 a piece and ship them. Not too bad, so I agreed. 3. The time frame was for 4 weeks. I dropped them off in April and received the product on June, 29th. 4. The paint was supposed to be white, very simple. The owner said that she was going to use 3 coats of paint. 5. The bowls are off white, yellow, some places two-toned. The bowls have parts of them where there is missing paint. There are other parts of the bowls where there is globs of paint. You can see brush strokes, when they were supposed to be dipped. It looks like my 10 year old cousin painted these, which would be okay but not for a studio owner, who's work is very detailed from what I've witnessed in store. 6. I called with my concern, asking for a resolution of repainting or a refund of some sort for the painting because the bowls are unsellable. The owner informed me that if I didn't like them to repaint them and go have them fired, everyone there loved them. She then hung up on me. I called again, no answer. Began to leave a message, the owner answered the phone and hung up. This happened several times. Sadly, I do not live anywhere near by, so the owner can do this and get away with it. 7. She also informed me that she had my credit card on file, which I never gave her permission to keep on file. She told me this after she had charged my card for the shipping, which I was never informed of a price before or after inquiring how the payment was made.

I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. If I could give 0 stars I would. I walked in and a young girl MAYBE age 12 was at the front desk. I explained i hadn’t been there and she told me to just get paint and paint a piece of pottery off the white shelf. She gave me no information and left me clueless. I grabbed a piece and paint and started to paint it. An older woman by the name of Mary was rude to me, proceeded to yell at me for using the wrong paint (although I wasn’t given any information on which paint was off limits). I apologized for using the wrong paint and not seeing the SMALL sign near the ceiling and put the paint back. I selected two new paints from a selection of 5 “on limit” paints. There was NO selection for me whatsoever because there was a large group of women with the majority of the paint at their table. I proceeded to finish my piece with the proper paint, however had already used some of the paint that was not “for use”. Mary came by and actually complimented the colors I used and the paint job I did. HOWEVER weeks later I was informed that due to the paint I used on my piece it is unable to be fired. IM FURIOUS that I spent hours in this shop getting subpar service and then told my piece isn’t able to get fired. And that Mary failed to tell me I was using paint that couldn’t be fired even after noticing the paint on my piece and COMPLIMENTING IT. I was not offered a...

This was my second time to shop and my last. First time after pandemic when masks were just beginning to not be mandatory. Just got out of the car and forgot it. Apologized. ?Owner was rude in how she said ”you have to have a mask”. Should have took note at that time. Today she holds up here index finger and says I’m on the phone and I’ll be with you”. First of all do you ever smile? I waited a few minutes and pondered “do I really want to take a class here? The wait was not the issue. It was the rudeness. Only inquiring about myself and some ladies taking a class. No, I don’t want my fun bunch of ladies subjected to rudeness. I read reviews and wish I had met the fun, nice lady other people had a class with. Not sure she works there. I took her rudeness as personal to me and you don’t want me to tell you why...
