It was our first time visiting and it recently opened. There was plenty of parking outside in the plaza lot. The restaurant was full and there's not a lot of seating available. We finally got a table, but it was not cleaned or wiped off. The restaurant is small, which meant it was loud and busy.
I got the Black Garlic Tonkotsu ramen. The broth was a bit too salty, the pork chashu was very fatty, cold to the bite, and the meat was tough, and the noodles were a bit soggy. For $14, it wasn't that great and wasn't flavorful. I also got the Thai Milk Tea and it was very plain and didn't have much Thai Tea flavor. It was a bit lackluster but for the price, it wasn't terrible. My friend also got the Thai Milk Tea and hers was very very sweet, whereas mine was plain and not sweet. There was no consistency in drinks. Overall, the meal wasn't memorable but it was okay.
When we ordered at the cash register, the cashier was not very helpful and wasn't responsive. The cashier didn't ring up some of our dishes and also did not inform us of certain menu items that were incorrect. Cashier did not respond after my transaction and didn't really say much as we ordered, it was very awkward. Staff in the kitchen was a bit more helpful. We requested some hot chilli oil because one of the ramens we ordered was not spicy and was incorrect on the menu. The staff agreed to give us 1 chili oil, but they were going to charge for the rest. They did not inform us about the menu mistake and eventually, one of the staff came to give us chili oil. It was nice of them to give it to us, but they need to fix that menu mistake.
Overall, food was okay but the service was a bit frustrating. I think they could do better and for their new opening month, they have some...
Read moreI would describe it as entirely unremarkable. We waited about 15-20min for our food, and had only 2-3 customers ahead and some with just tea orders.
We got the pork belly rice bowl and the beef pho. They use one of the cheapest cuts of pork belly, mostly fat and connective tissues(pork belly is fatty, but the ratio was rather skewed). The seasoning was lacking, with no real unique or distinct flavor, tastes really similar to a few bottled sauces at Meijer. The beef pho was really one note, and the meatballs feel frozen with no real distinct flavor(besides being vaguely italian?, they taste strongly of thyme).
Overall for 29.40 for a can of coke, a rice bowl, a soup, and a forgotten ice water I wouldn't come back. If your looking for Vietnamese, columbus has many better options. Such as 6-1-pho, or buckeye pho off bethel(they have fantastic tripe), and they both offer banh mi if your in the mood as well. The food was not terrible but below...
Read moreBeen wanting to try this place since it’s opened for weeks! Had the chicken ramen and matcha boba tea. The matcha milk tea itself was good, with the right amount of sweetness and not an overpowering earthy taste. Honestly might be the best matcha tea I’ve had. (Sorry Starbucks, love yours with cold foam tho) Tapioca boba was on point and so soft and chewy. Not super dense like others. Best boba and tea I’ve had.
Chicken ramen was alright. Noodles were fresh and good texture/consistency, perfect for slurping:) my only ick was the seaweed, which was more overpowering than other ramen with seaweed I’ve tried, and it made the ramen broth really salty to a fault and an interesting smell. Chicken itself was alright. Will definitely be coming back for boba, and to try the pork gyoza and other...
