😢😢😢 I went in today for my 6months old puppy hair cut and I talked to Dana who I even showed pictures of how I will like my westie to look. This was his first cut and I was very excited. Upon arriving she told me I’m gonna see a brand new dog and In fact I did. She brought a dog out to which I jumped and ducked down because I was Afraid of how it looks she then told me that this was my dog. I cried and asked her what happened to my dog. How did my fluffy dog turned into dobby from Harry Potter. She said that the dog was matted and she told she was gonna cut his lower stomach short. I’m a first time dog mom so I don’t know the names of cut so the most I could do is show pictures. I told her that I was fine with his stomach area shorter since it won’t offset his cut anyways or so I thought. To say the least I was very disappointed because his hair won’t grow back and I wished I never took him there. This was just horrible and he has patches all over his fur so even her shaved down cut missed the mark. I hate leaving negative reviews, but then I feel I owe an honest opinion. I recent rescued a doodle. He has been an unhealthy guy, but we are working hard to get him well.I made an appt with the dawg shoppe for grooming. Then my vet told me he had worms and yeast in both ears, I canceled the appt due to concerns of making other pets sick. I rescheduled the appt when all tests were neg. I was ask if my pet had a rabies shot and I said yes, then I realized that he did not have a rabies shot and I sat about to get the shot before the appt. In the meantime Kelly (groomer) called my vet w/o my permission and ask if my pet had a rabies shot!! I was complete outraged that someone could be that underhanded. When I had made an appt for the rabies vaccine before the appt.If I don’t have proof of vaccines when I arrive for my appt. Then turn me away! But don’t go behind my back and call my vet like I was trying to do something wrong! I have spent hundreds of dollars on this pet in vet bills, why would I not pay another 30$ for a rabies shot! I would give Dana and her team 10-star rating. They are amazing, caring and talented professionals. We just adopted a dog that was in dire need of makeover, and Dana was able to squeeze our appointment into a busy schedule. She and another young man (sorry for not remembering his name) were able to do magic and help us bring clean and groomed fur friend to her new home. I wish I had taken the photos of before the grooming, but the dog was so dirty and covered in feces and urine that it even didn’t cross our mind at the moment. We are very grateful for the staffs willingness to assist us in emergency situation. If we lived closer to Grove City, that would be our permanent grooming facility. THANK YOU❣️Wonderful personnel.
