China Wok — Restaurant in Jackson Township

I decided to try this place out for the first time today and I had just came out of work so I don't look the best. I came in and they're was 4 people at the register talking they looked at me for a quick second then kept talking to each other. Then finally one of the girls look at me and finally acknowledge me. One of the older women told me to sign the receipt but she seemed low-key irritated when she was telling me to do it. I get it, it was almost time for them to close up I get it but I felt awkward and honestly didn't want the food anymore but it was too late I already paid for the food. A customer ahead of me got her food before me and the employee was super nice to her but when it was my turn to grab my food she barely looked at me I said thank you she didn't say anything she didn't put no forks no napkins nothing in it. Even though I was tired I wanted to bless all the employees there with $100 tip each person just for working hard I have a YouTube channel so I do this a lot of times. Super disappointed. Called and placed a $40 order at 9:56pm (google listed their business hours to close at 10:30pm). They told me 15-20mins for my order to be ready. On my way there at 10:10pm they called me and said my order was ready, I told them I was half way there and they said okay. So why the "H" when I pull up they closed!! I'm talking lights out, no cars in the parking lot....GONE. LIVID!

I tried calling the number back that called me but no answer. When I looked on the door hours were listed to close at 10pm. Again not whats listed online and would have been nice if they told me when I called in that they closed in 4 minutes from the time I placed the call.....

This place is exactly what you would expect. It’s a staple restaurant here in GC. Don’t expect too much or too little.

They have some really good dishes, but things can be hit or miss. You really just need to try different things and figure out what’s best and most likable to your taste.

I personally would ignore the hyper negative reviews based on one single trip. People like this are irrational and want to give this place a single star. Based off of what? One dish? One experience? You have to be more realistic with restaurants like this. They have a TON of different dishes. And it’s definitely always more hit than miss.

This is my Wife’s comfort food place. So she likes to order at least once a week. So we go fairly frequently.
