Jackson GA Escape Games, Stranger Things themed Escape Rooms — Local services in Jackson

We drove over an hour to try out the “Dungeon” escape room at Jackson GA Escape Rooms, hoping for a fun medieval-themed experience. Unfortunately, the room lacked immersive atmosphere—no music, low-quality décor, and barely any effort to create a believable setting. The second room completely threw us off with witchcraft books, pentagrams, and what looked like Spirit Halloween props. I felt genuinely uncomfortable due to personal past experiences, and the shift in theme was unexpected.

Our game master, Elliot, was incredibly kind and understanding when we expressed our discomfort. She offered us a chance to switch to another room, which we appreciated. However, when we brought it up to the owner at the front counter, the situation took a turn.

Micheal was casually building a Lego set while on the job, and as soon as we explained the issue, he gave me a judgmental look. He refused to let us try a different room because we had “basically already done it,” even though we had 25 minutes left. We didn’t want to cause a scene, so we calmly said it was fine. But instead of showing any empathy or understanding, he dismissed our concerns and suggested that “it’s only witchy stuff,” implying we were overreacting.

He eventually offered us a short 15 minute Stranger Things mini-experience, which we declined. The entire interaction felt cold, uncomfortable, and frankly, dismissive. We left feeling unwelcome and disappointed.

If I could rate this place 100 stars I would! Jackson Escape Games exceeded all my expectations in every way. The staff were incredibly friendly and comforting, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Although, I cannot remember our game master’s name, he was extremely helpful. The escape room itself was an absolute blast. It was packed with references and elements from the series, immersing us in the world of Hawkins, Indiana. The puzzles were challenging yet solvable, and the atmosphere was genuinely eerie, which added to the authenticity of the experience. The attention to detail in recreating the Stranger Things universe was outstanding, and the set design was top-notch. The overall fun and excitement we had during the escape room made it a memorable adventure. I highly recommend this escape room to fans of the series and escape room enthusiasts alike. It's an experience that truly transports you into the world of Stranger Things, and the friendly staff make the entire experience...
