Starting off, this is quite possibly the nicest restaurant in town. The building is lovely inside and out. Someone dropped some serious money into putting this site together. That being said, I’m a tad surprised it’s a pizza place. I feel like the building is more suited for catering reception parties or even maybe a fine dining experience like a steakhouse. But I guess we’re going with pizza and subs. I asked the server if she had the French dip before, as I’m not much of a pizza eater, to which she replied yes, and liked it. I ordered the French dip, one kid ordered pepperoni pizza, other chicken nuggets, and my husband ordered meatballs. My meal came with salad or chips, which I chose salad. The kids meals did not come with any side options, but drinks were included. For about $4, that seems reasonable. Although I would have preferred a fruit or veggie option for them as a side even if that adds another $1 to the meal. My beverage was the Pineapple Rum Punch. It was good, albeit heavy on the pineapple, but I guess that’s what I get when I order a pineapple drink - pineapple with a sprinkling of alcohol for $8. They have Pepsi products. Crushed ice (which is always a fave). Meals arrive. Everything looks pretty good. I look at my sandwich and can’t help but feel it’s a Philly cheesesteak, with a side of au jus. I take a few bites - very cheesy, and yes, tastes just like a philly with little to no seasoning. I ask the waitress in case it was a mistake and she says it’s the French dip. I look at it closer - French dip isn’t thin grilled meat like what was on my sandwich. It comes sliced and roasted, maybe heated back in a skillet, and echos the taste of the au jus. This did not. She offers to double check. I overhear her asking another waitress about the sandwich and what it looks like. Wait. But I thought you had it before? She comes back and says yes, it’s the French dip. I still don’t believe her, but continue to finish it anyway and come back another time to order the philly and compare pictures. The au jus tasted fantastic. I just wish the sandwich matched it. Bread was the chewy kind, not a personal favorite, but it struggled to soak the jus up properly. Husband enjoyed his meatballs - very italian flavored. He liked his Caesar side salad which looked exactly as intended. Sliced pieces of Parmesan and you can clearly see the dressing. I gave my chips to my children as they didn’t have any sides to go with their meal. I wish French fries, or some other side could be offered, or maybe a selection of chips to chose from other than plain. For about $10, I wasn’t expecting to have a meal with such limitations. Plus the sandwich didn’t have much meat in it - mostly on one side of the bread. I regret forgetting to take another picture. Check comes and the prices aren’t as listed with the kids meals. Everything came out right in the end, but don’t list the child’s prices one way on the paper, but have it come out differently on the ticket. One kid was charged for a drink where the other wasn’t, but ones meal was a dollar cheaper than listed. It says drinks are included on your paper. The system should reflect the same. Fortunately we are wise enough to see it still came out the same as listed, but I can see how others can get confused or cause a fuss over it. Management - take one of your days off, make every meal you serve on menu, and have ALL staff look and taste the meals. They need to know exactly what they are serving, and its tastes. Take pictures and provide photo evidence if need be. Pictures also help steer the eye to see what a particular meal looks like on the menus. 1 Star, beautiful building, very clean 1 Star, great location, plenty parking 1 Star, full bar and most of the food and service -1 star, server having misled me about trying the meal I requested -1 star, 99% sure what I ate was a philly. I ate them a lot when I was younger. Manager never came by to check on us and/or to confirm what I was served. I had an issue, management should have been notified. I don’t know if they were.

This is one of the best Pizza in GA. Fresh ingredients, brick oven flavor, NY style. Cheese bread was amazing. Very good flavor sauce. Even the ice in the soda was great! 🤣 Service was fast and friendly. Thanks for a great experience and good food.

Watch your bill! They add an "administration fee" of 4% without letting you know. Just happened to look closely at my bill and found the fee hidden in the middle of it. Iasked what it was and was told it was for credit card use. That would have been ok except I hadn't even given them my card so they couldn't have known I was using it. They also added 4% to those that paid cash. When I asked why cash payers were charged as well, the owner was rude and disrespectful. His claimed that it was George law he had to charge everyone. Soooo it's not a credit card fee if everyone pays this fee hidden in the middle of the receipt. The owner became more abrasive and condescending stating he didn't have time to explain the laws to me. GA law would let him give back the fee for those that paid cash only if they asked for it. Uh....huh? When I asked for clarification because that made no sense he said we were at an impasse and this conversation was over. He will just give me the fee back. And so Mr. Brickery owner, I will be sure to warn everyone about your deceitful greedy cheating ways and encourage them to take their business elsewhere. My teacher friends and I have had a monthly get together here for 5 years. We will find a new place. Can't patronize a lying, rude, cheating business owner.

To all the nice people at The Brickery tonight that witnessed me showing my butt, I apologize. However, it was not without reason. My family and I will not be supporting that "man" anymore with our business after today. It was an absolutely disgusting display of business ownership and horrid management skills.

Make it make sense... 2 people order 2 meals, one of which is $11.99 menu price, and the other is $7.99 menu price. Both order water. No sides, no extras, no appetizers, nothing other than what should be a $20-$21 meal with tax right?

HOW THE HELL IS IT $42.40 BEFORE TIP? Oh, that's right... Because we were given a limited menu to choose from that my very pregnant wife couldn't order from due to diet restrictions, and still being charged $20 per person for meals we did not even order.

Yes, I got a little more worked up in public than I should have, he even called Butts county police on me.

I hope he sees this post, I truly do. I wish no harm to him by any means, I have no ill will toward him. However, to all of my friends who enjoy a great pizza place, or pasta, gyros or reuben sandwiches, they truly do have the best of those in all of Butts country in my opinion but I will NOT be supporting the business anymore after the blatant disrespect the owner had toward my sister, my wife, myself and the remainder of my family that dined at his establishment this evening. (06/09/2024) In case he does see this. I want the image of my face to be burned into his memory and I hope my rebuttal to his insults to me and toward my family is engraved into the back of his memory forever. As a very small business owner, myself I don't know how he will be able to sustain being open with the practices he has in place.

Yes, I know this was a long post, and I know it isn't my usual type of post either, but someone needs to stand up against the corporate robbery that man is trapping people into if they want to have more than 4 people show up to the same meal.

Lastly, the server/bartender, Carrie (I hope I spelled it right) was an absolute sweetheart and did a phenomenal job. Being the only bartender for the restaurant, and serving our party of 26 tonight WITHOUT ANY ISSUES might I add, absolutely, 100%, 10/10 would recommend seeing her if you decide to go to this place. The food was incredible as it always has been, and the service was top-notch as per usual. Again, the only problem we had tonight was with the owner, charging each of us more than DOUBLE for what we ordered. $20 per person, YES INCLUDING THE CHILDREN, when not one person at the entire table ordered $20 worth of food by themselves... Ridiculous. Butts County Government Friendsofjackson everyone here, I hope you take the time to read what I've written. To the "man" that would insult me as he passed by, bumping into me... Who insulted my sister to her face, and talked crap about my family to other customers as he was sitting at their table and I overheard you as I walked out to get some things from our car, and continued to talk down to everyone in our party, as if we were the scum of the earth... I hope the county takes the business license away from you, I truly do. The folks that owned it before you never once would have done that to anyone, and what you're doing to the very respected name of that business is a disgrace. As a man, you should be ashamed...

ABSOLUTE WORST RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE This evening, I arrived early to help set up for a surprise 30th birthday dinner for my cousin. We had previously called ahead to make a reservation as we have done SEVERAL times in the past. I was told that they no longer accept reservations and to just show up and wait for available seating. That's fine, we planned it for guests to arrive at 4:30 and the birthday girl to arrive at 5. When we got there, the large banquet room was empty. A young woman and the owner helped us arrange tables to accommodate our large group. During the setup, the owner brought over a Limited Menu that outlined a flat $20 (per person) dinner option that included an entree, salad, and a drink. I asked if other menu items were available or if this was the only option. He told me that we could order anything off the menu except sandwiches in order to avoid overloading the kitchen since they are lightly staffed on Sundays. I informed our guests as they arrived of the limited menu options. I should note that at NO TIME during my menu discussion with the owner during setup was I informed that EVERY SINGLE PERSON regardless of what they ordered would be charged $20. Yes, that included CHILDREN. As of my last head count, we had 25 guests. Based on the charges we were billed, every person should have received a salad, an entree, and a drink. I believe I saw somewhere in the neighborhood of 5(ish) salads brought out. I know for a FACT that 5 people ordered water. I also know for a FACT that the 5 CHILDREN were charged the $20 menu price. On top of that, there was a 4% "Administration Fee".

When we asked our server to speak with the owner, she returned a short time later and told us that we had to go to him. Myself and another guest went to speak with him. He was sitting at a dining table IN THE CENTER of another room with other guests and proceeded to speak to me in THE most disrespectful and condescending way you could possibly imagine. During this conversation, he also slammed his hand on the table and told the other guest standing there with me that "it's a standard practice in restaurants". I'm not sure how, but I maintained my manners and politely walked away.

A short time later, other guests began to approach him with their objections to their charges. He became even more RUDE with our guests and called the police! YES, you read that right! He called them to make sure we left the premises AFTER everyone had ALREADY paid their bills in FULL. I will NEVER recommend this restaurant to anyone until the ownership and management change. We have hosted several family events in their banquet room without any issue, but they have permanently lost our business after the way the JERK of an owner...
